Introduction

There are various ways through which art-based centers nurture the children creative expression. Art is a talent just like any other. Talented arts are born with skills. However, even if you cannot teach art when children are exposed to artistic creativity in early ages, they can learn the skills and grow them as their talent. Arts raises the level of creativity in children when they are exposed to art materials, they tend to think of ways to use them. The moment they start thinking of ways to use the materials, their minds are sharpened and opened for growth. This exposure then makes children learn how to be responsible, use their original thoughts to handle situations on their own. Children exposed to art in early childhood do better in other more involving subjects like sciences. The creativity earned by using art materials for different use jogs the brain of such children to become clever. When faced with challenges in other activities, these children can independently face them and come up with solutions. Children from art-based centers are more confident than others. When they are introduced to art, they are given freedom to be they want to be. Through this freedom, they have a chance to choose the activity they love most in art and practice it often. Continuous practice makes them accurate and experts hence become confidence to the outside world. Art helps children control their emotions. The major fact about art is that it is involved with deep inner feelings. When children are exposed to art in these art-based centers, they are able to connect with their inner emotions. By developing that connection, they gain the ability to control their emotions. It is very hard for such children to overreact over small issues because art teaches them to exercise calmness in art activities. Research shows that art helps in fostering the cognitive abilities of children (Chen, 2016). Participating in creative activities triggers children imaginations expanding their mental capacities. Contrary to the belief that children reflect around their present world, these children acquire the ability to learn new things. In addition, children are able to learn and develop their skills from others.

Teachers in art-based institutions take the age of children into consideration and group them according to their age. This is done because a different level of minds thinks and reason differently. The interests of these children are very different. What can be interesting for a toddler might not be boring for a second-grade child? Their level of interaction is also different. The teacher allocated for a certain group of children must have the ability to interact freely with them. This teacher must also know what the children need most; that way, it will be easy to teach them the arts. The main thing when adapting these centers is to make the place most real for the children. Teachers must provide drawing materials that children can relate with. It should be more of what they have seen before to less of what they have not. This will ensure that the children are relating to their current world and even though there is room for imaginations, the materials should be real. The set-up of classrooms and playgrounds helps set the mood of the child ("Adapting materials"). The set-up is also likely to influence their behaviors in these institutions. The classroom should be decorated with learning based colors like green and white. Although using bright colors makes the class livelier, some colors like red which is associated with food could cause mind distraction for children. Furniture arrangement should vary from children of different age. Most toddlers will paint better while on the floor while the fourth graders will prefer to stand or sit beside a table. These rooms should be well lit to facilitate enough transparency of the objects in the room. The creativity in designing the rooms should be extended outside the classes. The playgrounds should be equipped with different age equipment. The equipment and grounds should be decorated with cheerful colors; dull colors are likely to destroy the moods for playing. Teachers need to pay attention to the individual needs of the children. Children of different range require a different level of attention. For example, a first grader will need more guidance from the teacher than a third grader. However, some students have personal needs that are not determined by their ages. Teachers should pay attention to every child to master their close needs.

Teachers in Art-Based Centers can use various techniques to manage a creative classroom environment. Establishment of a rhythm. Opposed to routine, the teachers should develop a changing rhythm for their students. These rhythms could be visual journals that act as entry and exit tickets to the classrooms. The journals could also have illustrated the start and end of lesson notes. Additionally, they should include sketchbooks, to do lists, agendas, and note pages; all incorporated in the visual journal. The flexibility of the daily program of the visual journals will ensure the classes are lively and interesting. The second technique is to keep a daily and monthly calendar or log. In addition to visual journals, the teachers can provide a backboard where they write their daily schedules, updates, holiday and other school activities. This will ensure that no program is forgotten and the students are aware and ready for any activity every day. Thirdly, teachers should talk like yoga instructors. Yoga instructors have a way of drawing your attention to concentrate without asking for too much (Patterson, 2018). Students will not pay attention to instructions like keep quiet and turn your books to page 10. Instead, a teacher should use yoga teacher's technique like all eyes on me, breath in and out, sit with your back straight and hands on the table; now, let's turn our books to page 10. Yoga instructors encourage their students to do small things slowly, one by one instead of telling them to do something big at once. The teacher should greet students at the door. If the students allow, the teacher could greet them individually by their names. This should be done through a handshake while making eye contact. This makes the students feel valued by the teacher. The student will be excited to learn. Lastly, the teacher should use various ways of grabbing the attention of the students. Some teachers will a bell, others play music, mention names, move closer to students or stay silent for a minute to capture the attention of the students. An art class could be very noisy and involving. The teacher should practice different ways to call for students' attention on different occasions.
