Introduction

Diverse learners are the ones as that learn differently from how the other learns maybe because of reading level, personality, abilities, religious beliefs, and cultural background. Diversity does not mean cultural diversity, but also it can be diversity in knowledge, skills, and needs. When students come into class, they bring along their diverse needs which they would like considered and you as a teacher it is advisable to make sure that you attend them as per their educational requirements, unique background and their set of skills. Art is intended to make all student enjoy learning. Readiness, phonics and mathematical skills can be acquired through the curriculum art. Trough the art curriculum, the teacher, become accustomed to the centers that teach the students with diverse abilities like visual impairments, orthopedic impairments, intellectual and emotional impairments, and hearing impairments.

The primary importance of a curriculum to accommodate diverse learners is so that they can feel respected so that they can be able to concentrate on their studies. The children with these needs tend to be high tempered, and they quickly get angry when you wrong them because they feel like you are underestimating them because of their unique needs. This underestimation makes them lose interest in their studies, and they start giving up on their career because they see themselves as outcasts. The curriculum art that accommodates diverse learners helps the children to study at their capability and level. A student who is intellectually and emotionally challenged may lack the skills to control their bodies or any not have compression and verbal skills as the other students. When you discover this as a teacher, you can adjust the curriculum, and it will help the diverse learners to excel in their studies.

When you acknowledge the different cultural heritages among the students, you can transfer information from past experiences and knowledge. All students start learning with a background of information and skills according to their cultural homes, and it is vital as a teacher to incorporate and authenticate their previous information into the procedure of getting new information. This includes the social prospects, set of customs and etiquette that the students acquired at home.

Art is a global language that assists students who are struggling to learn English, complex concepts and who are undergoing trauma. Art helps to lessen barriers of language and lure families into welcoming learning societies. The technique makes thinking visible, and this helps the teacher to know how the children are feeling and thinking. Teachers and learners who are alike should nurture interpersonal skills and respect the cultures of other people. Students who learn in a diverse classroom are prepared to face the world accurately and how to meet it in the future without any difficulties. Students who learn in a different class, their critical thinking is promoted because there are rules that are made by the teacher about the classroom culture that help the learners to relate and distinguish them with the culture of other people.

Children who are emotional and intellectually impaired have many characteristics that make them difficult to develop. Their physical growth is underdeveloped, and they also have a lower IQ than the other students. The teacher should use large Legos to educate the whole class their numbers and colors that help intellectual challenge by asking the students to build a building using different colors and amounts. By practicing this, the learners have fun while studying and they learn using fewer words. When in a group activity the teacher can ask the intellectual and emotional students are given the task separating shapes and colors, and they will also feel like they are a part of the group. The teacher should engage these children into a proposed system of learning which has some tiles that are customized, and they are used to interact with games numbers. These tiles are designed in a way that they will outfit the mental needs off students with emotional and intellectual impairments.

Learners who are visually impaired cannot see, or they might be having poor eyesight and learning might become difficult to them because they use their hearing, smelling and touching senses to recognize things. A teacher cannot hold a picture in front of them, and he expects those students to be able to read. The instructor should use differently shaped blocks so that the student can touch the bricks and feel it so that he or she can understand what the teacher is saying. The teachers should create a curriculum where the visually impaired children can learn through the hands by touching various blocks that the teacher will have made. This prevents the teacher from becoming frustrated from with his or her teaching, and it also helps the student not to become frustrated with his or her learning.

Children with hearing impairment can hear anything in the class so the teacher has to create a diverse classroom where he can teach these students through the use of hearing aids. The teachers should use pictures, maps, and blocks to prepare these students because they can understand only learn through seeing, smelling and also touching.

The students who are Orthopedic impaired also perform very well in class just like the other students. They require special attention and care because they experience many challenges and difficulties throughout the day. The teacher should consider how the orthopedic student will access the classroom easily without much hassle. The teacher should plan activities whereby they can also be able to participate. For example, they can adapt the material they have been provided with like the writing aids, and you can also give them tasks that they can be able to do alone. Children who are physically impaired can use devices for positioning and mobility that help them to participate in classroom activities.
