A state is very important, particularly in the administration of a people. A state creates a sense of unity and togetherness, and as Wolf (2016) points out, humans are always in a state of wanting to acquire more and become better. Such desires creates a situation of constant conflict which, if not checked by the intervention of state agencies, could lead to persistent wars and chaos everywhere. Additionally, the concept of Democratic Socialism as projected by its proponents seem to be viable only on a state platform. The state, under this system will perform such tasks as ensuring quality social welfare and maintenance of peace and order.

How should political decisions be made and how is power allocated? (e.g., Does your party support representational democracy, participatory democracy, monarchy, etc? Is power centralized, decentralized, etc?)

As a democratic proponent, The Majority Party (TMP) supports a mechanism that will allow the input of the populace to be taken into account during decision making processes. However, because direct participation democracy would be chaotic, if not impractical, the best alternative is representational democracy. The unique aspect TMP will incorporate is to organize devolved social units and organize elections around these units so that the representatives are derived from such units. This way, the party's top brass can be sure of receiving concerns and opinions from the lowest level. TMP therefore supports a centralized power system with a few devolved units down the ranks.

According to The Majority Party (TMP), liberty is the prerogative bestowed by nature upon all human beings, both male and female, to conduct their activities freely but devoid of causing harm and compromising the enjoyment of another person's own freedom. In most instances, particular groups such as women, the disabled as well as the elderly have been denied their full liberty. In the light of Democratic Socialism, personal responsibility is understood as the inherent will in a person to act in such a manner that logically befits the prevailing situation. At some instances, responsibility would demand that no action is taken. After the action or failure to act, personal responsibility demands that the particular individual assumes accountability henceforth for the action. To the state, the sole duty of an individual is to maintain patriotism.
