Fairphone challenges itself as a company to embody the sustainability and ethical principles into the phone itself rather than through other supporting communications. Fairphone comprehends that it is their product that is being used as the communication device and thus has to continuously aim to present their phone as an inspiring while at the same time depict how electronics can be made better both presently and in the future. The concept of sustainability is ingrained in the product from the onset thereby reduces any instances of the risk of greenwash.
