Introduction
Hazelwood central high school is one of the public educational institutes. It is located in North St. Louis County. It was established in 1966 with the rapid growth of student population that quickly crowded and thus moved to a high school level. The school then grew into one of the most competitive schools in the districts. It offers an opportunity for all students to perform well and teachers similarly play a key role in developing student's capabilities in performing well in school. Its mission statement is to provide guidance and support with all students with personal, social, emotional and academic growth, and to enhance post-secondary choices. Its vision is to ensure that students acquire the skills and knowledge to graduate and make appropriate future choices that engage them to engage with the 21st-century economy successfully. The school is well positioned to achieve its vision and mission. On the contrary, the issue of student truancy continues to raise controversies on the best strategies to develop the desired skills. While these challenges significantly affect performance, developing an interactive planning program could play a primary role in addressing the problem.
Program Goals and Learning Objectives
The program's goals and objectives are to develop a positive outcome for students. Through the teaching approaches, students will have an opportunity to acquire different skills required in developing. Involving different methods is essential in addressing the fundamental problems. Some of the program goals would include the development of an appropriate strategy to identify the root cause of the problem. While truancy is attributed to many factors, it is evident that the family and student's attitude to education primarily contributed to the issues (Nizkodubov & Evseeva, 2015). As a result, this will affect a student's performance.
