Family values influence the way we make decisions and perception of health. The values streamline what is right and what is wrong basing on the family's beliefs. However, according to the results analysis from Jamal's family, the parents communicate freely to their two sons aged 20 and 13 years, about the value of education and how to manage their time well. They do not hesitate in communicating values to the family members, especially education which helps to educate the kids and the entire family the good health behaviors. It is true that the extended family has a strong base of family values on health and education because according to the parents'; it is the priority to consider as a family. No one ignores the set values because there will be consequences such as punishment followed by advice to act as a reminder of family core values. Therefore, the family's perception is to remain healthy and educative so as to raise strong personalities in life.

Nutrition

Jamal's family is mostly relying on the processed food since it is easy to obtain it. The family's favorite food is the snacks and pizza. Additionally, the family does not dine together most of the times because they do mind the businesses of others. For example, when a family member is busy, they do not interrupt him or her. They start their breakfast with sugary cereals, bread and butter and during lunch time they take only two types of fruit that is the bananas and apples. According to the family eating habit, a balanced diet involves taking enough water and at least a fruit in a day. Basing on these results, the family' need to dine together because it helps to develop healthy eating habits by correcting one another. More so, taking breakfast with low blood sugar in children is very dangerous in their health since it leads to mildness affecting their concentration in schools. Although the family fears introduction of new food in their diet, it is important to develop healthy eating for the household. The parents are bossy and not persistent; hence fail to introduce a new food. According to Dr. Cheung, a researcher in family health, we do not manage approximately 10 to 12 times before we adopt new food (Weber 2009). Therefore, parents should not be authoritative but rather persistent in taking new food stuff that is healthy.

Sleep

The family literary takes six hours to sleep. However, they do not follow any sleeping aid because they only rest when they are tired from doing work. However, the children engage in video gaming while relaxing, but the parents and other family members watch movies. Scientific research indicates that sleep is beneficial in metabolism, immune function, memory and other body function. A lack of enough rest leads to poor judgment, inability to process and store information. However, other incidences of lack of sleep are drowsy driving that can result in fatal accidents and ineffective productivity at the workplace.

Elimination

Mr. Jamal frequently uses the washroom four times a day. He has a loose bladder hence suffering from Parkinson's disease (stroke). On the other hand, Mrs. Jamal has a serious problem with constipation, an illness she started experiencing after giving birth to his 20 years old son. They are both not aware of their health problems. Mr. Jamal said that he frequently visits the washroom because of taking too much water during the day, while the wife says that it a reasonable condition to constipate.

Exercise

Mr. Jamal's family involves in various activities during their leisure time. For instance, his wife likes cooking; Jamal usually goes for a walk across the streets of their hometown while the two sons like skating. They do these activities on a daily basis to keep their family physically fit. Due to the cooking habit of Mrs. Jamal, she is struggling with obesity because it is not a vigorous activity. Obesity increases cardiovascular disease, stress, cancer in extreme cases, and addiction.

Cognitive

Mr. Jamal and his wife are very forgetful, but to them it is normal. They believe they think too much about their jobs and the welfare of their two sons. For example, Mr. Jamal Accounts how he struggled to look for the car keys when he had just left them on the desk at the job. Mrs. Jamal on the other hand, forgot the boiling eggs for two hours on the cooking gas just because she was carried away by the Steve Harvey TV program. The two sons remember important events in their life, especially the family anniversaries and birthdays; they remember the kind of gifts brought in by the family friends such as mountain bikes produced by James who is their uncle.

Sensory Perception

Mr. Jamal wears glasses; he cannot visualize things that are far. He is short-sighted a condition called myopia. The other members have good vision and hearing capabilities. Mrs. Jamal is even known for her strong tasting abilities. Mrs. Jamal is always referred to as "the Queen of taste" because of having good taste buds.

Self-Perception

Mr. Jamal has self-esteem problems because she thinks she is too fat and lacks flexibility. She doesn't believe she can lose calories through the help of personal training instructor. On the other hand, Mr. Jamal and his two boys have high self-expression abilities since they love themselves so much. The father and the sons follow a TV program on lifestyle especially when Mrs. Jamal is in the kitchen busy cooking for them during the evening. She needs guiding and counseling on health matters so that she can change her perception of her body weight. Adopting a healthy program will help her fight the fears of the bad self-image and view the world in a whole new perspective.

Role Relationship

Mr. Jamal works as a senior auditor in a prominent firm while the wife works a high school teacher at the school nearby. Although they earn different salaries, both aim at providing basic needs to their family as a parental role at the same time show compassion, love and care for each other as married couples. Their cordial relationship is appealing because they set family rules together, attend the same church service and loves to hang out during the holidays. The children role did not feature much because they believe that being a child; you respect your parents, the elderly and complete school assignments.

Sexuality

According to Mr. Jamal, he values sex as an important part of marital life. He even calls it "a conjugal right." He believes sex rekindles relationships and prevents partners from cheating. He thinks having sex after a day makes the body comfortable and in balance. Contrary to Mrs. Jamal, she believes sex does matter provided the two persons love each other. Besides, having it once a week makes her very comfortable. The focus on the views, it is clear that they have sexual disagreements, hence a need to seek sexual education. Mr. Jamal is concerned about her wife sexual life because she doesn't like it frequently.

Coping

Although Mr. Jamal and his wife mutually dispense their roles as a family, they lack the mechanisms of handling stress. They do not have an open discussion when it comes to family problems. Indeed it is clear that Jamal has a problem with sexual satisfaction while the wife is struggling with obesity. They need to share their marital difficulties with the family physician, church personalities such as a pastor, or a family counselor. It will help them to develop a mechanism of survival and perseverance to handle stress.
