In trying to analyze the future labor markets and its influence on a professional career, it was found that they are entirely dependent on strategic business issues. Therefore a vital business issue is a critical business challenge that has an influence on the business mission, vision, the general operations, its stakeholders and the general structure of the business (David, 2011). It was found that the identification of such business issue had much influence on my professional career as the business operations and the environment is dynamic. One of the strategic business issues was about how a business can get the attention of the stakeholders to maintain its resources for improvement in performance. Here the central point of concern is how a company will interact with its main stakeholders including the customers, partners and financial institutions without stretching its resources and to improve the performance in the labor market. Another strategic issue was about the future market changes and the emerging competition from other organizations. It majorly concerned with how business in the next labor market will secure a chance of survival in the market due to many developments that the business environment is undergoing. Also, another strategic issue was about the general organization structure that should comply with the general dynamics in the business environment and the market. Therefore analyzing strategic such problems had a powerful influence in the development of the professional career to fit in the future labor market. Therefore, proper management of knowledge has to be managed to keep pace with the changing technological requirements. That is to say that the training concerning a particular career will take into consideration the strategic business issues such that an individual fits well in the profession. Also, the important problems help one to develop competence skills required as one can analyze the future market requirements which the individual can currently work on to avoid the difficulties in fitting the future labor force. Training on new developments in the labor market will, therefore, be a requirement. All these will help in developing the professional career in any respective field.
In entering the workforce, to be successful, I will start by changing the mindset that is, strategic thinking should apply at all levels of the organization. One of the mindset examples is through observing and seeking new trends wherein the workplace; I should focus on the general business context, the trends where I will have to bring in new ideas and exploring the trends (Matthews, 1999). That is to focus on the issues that are affecting the day to day running of the business and analyze the main obstacles that the general workforce is facing. Another example of a mindset is to focus more on the future workforce. That is I will put into considerations the coming changes in the workforce. I will tend to use my current workforce experience, where I will use to analyze what is required of me in the future at the workplace, for example, how technology is influencing the current workforce and predict which impacts it will impose on the future market. Also in the workplace, I will have to mind more on what I can control. Focusing on ideas that I have control over will give me ample time to think more ahead of new ideas while thinking outside my control will tend to provide me with stress and hence affecting my general performance in the workplace. Focusing on a few critical goals will be far more significant as they will lead to success in the workplace.
In analyzing the challenges in the future labor markets, and how much influence my professional career, I observed some findings, one of them is that the changing work environment is bringing significant challenges (Chenhall, 2003). New technology has come up with different approaches, and hence new skills and competencies have been required in the workplace. Another finding is that there has been an increasing business activity in the market place which has increased the level of competition, therefore, requiring that most organizations hire the competent, skilled labor force. Therefore my recommendations to organizations are that they should analyze the trends that are occurring in the current workforce. That is interpreted how some organizations are carrying on their activities to develop competitive strategies to enhance its sustaining in the market place. Such will provide the basis of training of employees of an organization to build their skills. Technological trends should be the core strategy of the organization in the long run.
