Technology in healthcare refers to the collection of techniques, skills, methods and processes through which technological applications or theory is directly applied to deliver healthcare services.

Electronic health records

Electronic health records refer to a form of technology that enables healthcare organizations to collect and store patient information which is used in future patient visits.

This refers to the use of data collected through the electronic patients records to make administration and other important decisions for a healthcare organization.

Electronic health records is a novel technological application that is being used widely in American and other healthcare systems in the world. Technology has significantly transformed the practice and delivering of health care services. This study will establish the importance of electronic health records in relationship to its costs. What are the advantages of using electronic health records in American healthcare institutions? On the other hand, a directional hypothesis seeks to establish a specific hypothesis that the electronic medical records will have positive implications on healthcare delivery.

This research will require the collaboration of different stakeholders in healthcare who are directly affected by the use of electronic health records. Nurses, doctors, and healthcare administrators, as well as insurance companies, use electronic medical records to make important healthcare decisions. Hence, collaboration in this research will deliver better and more authentic results.
