Introduction
Dissemination of Evidence-Based Projects (EBP) entails providing the detailed findings of an examination project into a certain aspect of the medical field. An EBP exercise is carried out with the intention of providing a scientific discourse to any given results of a project (Dianne, 2018). Disseminating the results of an EBP is an important exercise as it determines the seriousness with which the findings are taken along with its recommendations. The method used to disseminate also determines the number of individuals the message gets to thereby impacting on its usefulness as an agent of change (Dianne, 2018).
There consist different methods by which to disseminate information arising from an EBP. The method used depends on the intended target (recipient) of the results (Bernadette, 2016). When disseminating information to an internal audience within the health facility, direct messaging to staff members can be a convenient method of passing on the information. The method requires the sending of messages to the specific cell phones of staff members. This method has inherent advantages such as convenience. Gathering all staff members in one area may not be practical and therefore an option that can pass the information without having to meet is very convenient. Direct messaging is also fairly inexpensive as mobile rates are low and within reach of many individuals.
The method is also fast and can be sent within minutes of the results of an EBP and is therefore useful more so for information that needs to get out there immediately. Direct messaging provides privacy whereby the number of people the information is shared with can be controlled unlike other methods that third parties can have access (Dianne, 2018). Additionally, it provides for tailoring of information to each staff member with information that is relevant to them.
Dissemination to external parties outside the confines of the health facility (professional nursing organization) requires a more exhaustive means as members may not be in a position to actively seek explanations and questions or live nearby. Use of a report magazine or journal can be very convenient. It allows for members to study the information at their convenience and provides for a more inclusive report analysis. Dissemination of information allows staff members to gauge progress over a period and evaluate changes that are needed as per the recommendations of an EBP (Dianne, 2018).
Self-evaluation helps to maintain best practices within the facility. Provision of information to the professional bodies helps to highlight shortcomings in a health facility, be it management, inadequate staff members or even critical equipment needing repair (Bernadette, 2016). Such highlighting may lead to increased funding. Dissemination of results to staff members requires a more subtle strategy more so if the message is critical. One should focus on the issue and not the person while using verbal cues to explain the results of an EBP.

EBP Project Evaluation
It is important to evaluate whether an EBP project was worthwhile by determining its effectiveness in practice (Erna, 2017). The evaluation process follows a systematic approach to arrive at an accurate verdict about the project (Hannele, 2018). The initial step asks a PICOT (Problem, Intervention, and Comparison, Outcome, and Time element) question that defines the problem and structures the response in an easily understood format. Secondly, research literature material is collected to determine the scope and reach of the EBP project. This step helps to determine the materials used in the EBP project thereby allowing for comparison.
Information collected is not merged but kept sequentially in order of when it was obtained. The evaluation design is constructed based on the collected information. Data obtained is later randomized to prevent against distortion and then results obtained from a mock trial or previously set objectives (Hannele, 2018). Objectives set to act as a threshold against which implementation of the EBP recommendation results must equal or surpass.
Finally, evaluate the outcomes of the EBP project concerning the previously set objectives to determine whether the project made a difference in practice. Outcomes may range from psychosocial to physiological results (Erna, 2017). The former includes measurements of the quality of life as well as patient attitudes while the latter encompasses complications resulting from body organs or illnesses. Evaluation helps determine the effectiveness of our Evidence-Based Project in better detail. Information collected from the project evaluation exercise can then be used to conclude whether the project recommendation should be withdrawn or broadly adopted (Hannele, 2018).
