There were several instances where racism manifested itself in the story of Glory Road Movie. Firstly, racism demonstrated in the movie as seen in the basketball games, which was done in Texas Western College. This instance was a portrait by Don Haskins, who consider the inclusion of black people into the field of sports as the minor options as compared to those of the white race where they were viewed as significant level (Fitch, 2016). Because of less representation of African players, it ended up in violation of their rights through racial discrimination. Racial discrimination only occurred since those who were in charge of the sports events based their views on less-inclusion the black race since the department was mostly dominated by the White officials who lived in the West Texas region.

Similarly, the Glory Movie Road has illustrated racial discrimination upon the black race as viewed from the Western College basketball team competition. Although the five African Americans were included in the sports event, they were being subjected to all sorts of social injustices, for instance, threatening, assaulting, and heckling. The film of the Glory Road Movie also focuses on the issue of harassment based on the skin colors between the black and the white race before the basketball completion was conducted. This is because, by that time, players were valued not by their skills but due to their skin color, limiting the black players from getting more access to most of the sporting events.

Furthermore, the Glory Road Movie, also emphases on how the representation of Black players was being given less priority in the court's administration. This was drawn from the analysis that was done by Coach Don Haskins ( Gott, 2013). He discovered the issue concerning the stereotypes and the welfare of the players. Through his research, he realized that there was an urgent need to address the welfare by the courts, and the remedy should apply if anyone violates it.

Also, the Glory Road Movie is seen as important film especially when speaking the issue concerning racial discrimination because most of the problems that were adhered to were mainly the relationship that binds the black and the white race. This can be seen from the incidence, which took place in Texas Western College basketball team whereby the blacks were being viewed by the white people to be less superior as compared to them because of their skin color hence they were given limited opportunities in sporting events. The Glory Road Movie was significant among the black race after five African Americans were being allowed to join the white race during the Texas Western Basketball College competition. They showed that they were able to do their best more than the expectation of the white people since they had enough skills on matters concerning basketball-sporting event. The scenario also showed that every individual is correctly based on what he is doing so long as commitment and moral principles that are required at that notably filed is concerned rather than being neglected as per the idea of skin color.

Glory Road movie further explores the dispute of racial discrimination as drawn from the basketball team, which was held at Texas Western College (Schultz, 2014). When the black race won the National Collegiate Athletic Association championship final over the white people during the basketball, a final competition they were being despised and even prone to abuses by the white people. This incidence empowered the stereotypes of the underrepresented people that regardless of the race from which people might come from; they can nurture out their talents as per the requirement of the sports event if only unity exists among them. As per the outcomes of the sports event that took place in Texas Western basketball, it vividly put stress on the elimination of racism, which was present between the white and the black people with teamwork to respect the rights of every individual in the society.

Hypocrisy was also another vice that revealed itself during the basketball match at Texas Western College (Pippin, 2013). According to the research that was done by Coach Don Hoskins, he learned that there was a question about how hypocrisy emerges as one of the evil in the sporting event among the people. He rose up and explained that this just only happened due to the dominance that was portrayed by the white people over the black race. The black people lacked enough confidence to lay down their talents as they were majorly driven by the rules of the white people hence making them underperformed in the sporting events.

The Glory Road movie has also picture out the negligence of humanity among the black race, as demonstrated by Haskins. He said that during the competition of the basketball match in Texas Western College, the rights of the black people were being violated through critics and they end up being left with injuries after they were realized that they were well skilled in the sports event. Similarly, their rooms in the hotels were demolished. It even reached the extent of their blood being smeared on the door (Benedict, 2014). This made the players feel a sense of anger and fear amongst themselves. This was evident when one of the black players was attacked by the white race while he had gone to a bath at a cafe during their basketball completion at Texas Western College even though he had no mistakes. Because of threats that were imposed on the black race, it made them lose the game that followed the previous one.

The movie also focuses on the black race being mistreated by the white generation as drawn from how the white fans conducted themselves. The white fans usually spat, screamed, and even threw some food to the black race during the match. This act by the white people confirmed that the black race was considered useless people; hence; they did not deserve any respect. Agreeing with the analysis that was done during the sports events in Texas, racism likewise manipulated itself as seen from the differences that existed between the black and the white athletes. White athletes were valued to be the winners as contrasted to the black race athletes who were viewed as the losers; hence, they were less prioritized. The White race had also come up with the idea of legislation of customs, which were mainly targeting the black race. These customs were based on restriction of more access to the field of sports by the black African American more so the basketball tournament that was shown in Texas Western College.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Glory Road Movie is the evidence of how far discrimination has seized the society of African Americans as it vividly; address the issue of racism that was ironed out between two races of people that usually emerges during the sporting event in the Texas basketball team. The knowledge gained from basketball event, which was conducted in Texas Western College as per the story of Glory Road Movie, is a role model to the American society because it majorly dwells on the connection that exists not only in sports but also in the entire society. Also, it shows ways in which community can generate measures to cope with the matters concerning racial discrimination in sports in their different societies.
