Introduction
Origin of racism is of immediate concern to understand the roots of what has caused loss of many lives. The racist nature of any society has also led to massive exploitation of other races who were at the time considered inferior. In retaliation to capture and shipment as mere goods, both Africans and other races were shipped to the Americas to work in large sisal and cotton plantations.
Background Statement (Narration)
In definition, racism is the ideology of practicing segregation partaking one's race to be superior to the others. Historically, it is of great importance to understand that countries imposed racial laws and practiced discrimination to other tribes to exploit them for natural resources. The people who practiced separate law believed that people of low-quality status should be given poor status jobs. They also found that people of superior races should be awarded positions of high stature in society. These thereby caused significant discrimination between different races (Baker, 2016).
Americans practiced and embraced racial prejudice, where it was at first meant to show the difference between people of European descent and those of African descent. The practice was adopted to differentiate between those shipped as slaves by their ancestors.
The ideology was to voice America as the land of endless opportunities while practicing democracy and dehumanization of low-status races to acquire cheap labor. The doctrine had spread across the world by the end of the 19th century. Many societies had begun to subjugate other religions as being inferior to them and different ethnicities as being of lower status. The advent, therefore, necessitated colonialism (Smedley, 2018). European countries set sail for Africa as missionaries and explorers who gathered information of an untouched virgin land which required be amalgamated to racial profiling. These were for raw materials and cheap labor.
During the great depression of Germany after the First World War, a high wind of impoverished Caucasians took alms to the Jewish society claiming they were to blame for their misery. They, therefore, maimed and killed thousands of them in practicing racism.
Proposition (Partition)
It is, therefore, factual to claim that racism brought about the loss of lives and unrepairable pain and agony, which can only be compensated through mutual understanding. Cohesion and cooperation of the oppressors who have benefited from the trade should repay other racial lines for their untenable and forced labor.
It is factual to understand that Africans and African-Americans were oppressed to attain cheap labor and therefore, exploit these people. The advent of the late 18th century saw a great explosion of racism to other parts of the world. North America openly practiced slavery to build an empire. Racism, as discussed above, has its roots in the Americas and specifically North America. These were due to the high demand for their natural resources and their masculine nature. The Africans were also preferred for their unique character and therefore, could not escape because of the color of their skin. Racism practiced in other parts of the world was as a result of how successful it had proven to be in the Americas.
Proof (Confirmation)
The origin of racism, as discussed above, has its roots in the Americas and predominantly the North American area, which later spread to other parts of the world.
Refutation (Refutatio)
It is beyond any reasonable doubt that the advent of racism begun in North America then later the ideology was adopted by other parts of the world. The ideology had proven successful by the subjugation of others to pain and oppression the nation would build an empire which would even bypass their colonizers.
Conclusion (Peroratio)
The advent of racism led to bitter ties between the oppressors and the oppressed. The oppressed were still resentful even after racism was abolished and human rights adopted. In other communities, the resentment also remained after they gained self-governance and independence.
