To offer inspiration to other young people who may be facing difficulties in their lives especially when it comes to dealing with tough times, I would like to share out my story, and I hope you get to learn from it the advantages of staying strong during tough times. I was born and raised in a not-so-well-to-do family. My father was a poor carpenter and my mother a business lady. I had five siblings, and that was what worsened the situation. My parents income was never sufficient to sustain us fully. We had to struggle with the less that they managed to ensure that we survived. I was the last born in the family. Both my two elder brothers and sisters were school drop outs. I was the only person that was going to school and was so far the one who had attained the highest level of education. All of my elder siblings dropped out before they could complete high school. However, as for me, I was juggling with my last year in high school when real trouble faced our family. What motivated me to go to such levels was the suffering that my elder siblings were going through. Despite their ages, they still depended on my parents income to ensure that they survived. They were not yet independent, yet they were old. I never wanted to be like them, and so when my father told me that education is the only factor that can make me evade such a situation, I decided to put in some hard work to ensure that I succeeded in life. That was the kind of life I was in thirteen years ago.

After the final exams at the high school level, the results were out, and I had passed with flying colors. My parents were so happy, and so were my siblings. I got or rather received a letter to joining the University. Everybody was glad though deep down in our minds we knew that my parents could not afford that money. This issue got me so worried, but then I remembered that God was with me. I kept on praying every day so that I could get an answer or still a solution to my situation. Such an issue was a serious one since I always dreamt of studying up to the university, graduate and one day get a job and be able to restore the situation at home. My siblings had already messed, and I was not ready to follow the paths they had chosen. One day I discussed the issue with my parents. Since they also had high hopes and belief in me and they wished that I succeeded in life too, my dad decided that he was going to sell the house and parcel of land he had in the countryside and use the money to educate me. I was euphoric on hearing this. I thanked God for answering my prayers, and therefore I decided that I was going to keep on praying I get it through to the last bit. One weekend, my parents decided that they would travel to the countryside and facilitate the sale of the property for purposes of the money that they were supposed to for the payment of my college fee. On their way, they got a very nasty accident, and they all died. Thats when life turned into hell for me. I was so stranded I did not know what to do. I got so shocked some endless streams of questions ran through my mind. Who was going to pay my school fees? Who was going to sustain the family? As I pondered over this, I was ever in prayer asking God always to provide a solution to our troubles.

So one day I went to church to do my daily prayer. It is this through hope and prayer that gave me the courage to move on as it was some assurance that God was always on our side. With the courage that I had gathered or rather mastered, I went to the bishop I charge of our church. I explained to him my situation. I made him see how much I wanted to continue with my studies despite the conditions at home. He understood me and took my family in as part of the people receiving sponsorship from the church. This became a turnaround in our family. My elder siblings were taken to institutions where they received training on how to do simple work, and after that, the bishop helped them get employed. Sane case applied to me. The bishop helped me get admitted to a local university, and I got to study engineering which was my ever dream career. This was how we came out of our situation that we had faced earlier on thanks to my courage and prayer nature. Summarily I would like to share out that, when faced with real life challenges and difficult situations we should always pray and put on a courage mode. Would I have given up like my siblings, we would now be languishing in poverty.
