True to John Dewey's quote, "Education is not a preparation for life; education is life itself." I trust that my journey in the corridors of knowledge, research and accreditation is en-route to greater things. I am a focused and above average student in academic performance. My desire to pursue my degree program at George Mason University is driven by the desire to be part of the historical evolution of the university in producing the best brains in the legal profession. The challenge of choosing George Mason University came after moments of soul searching and in-depth analysis of some of the institutions all-around and wide-ranging educational exposures. I genuinely believe that my life, career, and professional affiliations would best be molded at the institution as I focus on making the best use of the university's community network in Virginia and beyond. George Mason University strategy to blend academic work with community involvement remains one of its greatest achievements. To build on my public participation and involvement, the institution stands out as my best choice to hone and improve my skills as a future attorney.
At my high school, public input and participation stood out as one of my favorite outdoor activities. Coupled with tight competition and intense student discussions on social-political and economic ideas, the notion of building my career around working with the community on legal representations gradually took shape. My highly dedicated professors and the school administration at large encouraged my class to focus and build our careers around people, as people formed the basis of humanity and investment. In particular was my English 101 professor who on many occasions emphasized and encouraged the students to build on our career prospect to help us formulate early professional plans before joining institutions of higher learning. Despite the little drive amongst my fellow students, I took the mantle and challenge to aim higher on my dream of pursuing law as a profession. I believe, my journey, build on strong ideologies and convictions, is gradually taking shape and my admission in George Mason University will eventually seal the move to embark on an exciting and stimulating career prospect.
The tight competition and a large number of students seeking admission in George Mason University greatly encouraged me to seek for this transfer. The steady rise of student admission is a pointer to the favorable learning conditions within the facilities. Coupled with positive reviews from the community, and some of its global awards, the decision to choose George Mason University goes beyond just building on my career, but also formulating great life policies that are vital in establishing a lasting legacy. The institutions cosmopolitan and community-oriented outlook offer one the best environment to sharpen public relations skills such as handling and dealing with the public. My key aim is to sharpen my public relations skills in addition to developing a strong legal mind. It is my deepest desire to tap into these attributes and conditions of the institutions. I am acutely aware that some of these environmental factors such as strong bonds amongst the students will help me establish my career on a solid basis amongst my fellow students. Additionally, the institutions high admission requirements are proof enough of the rigorous academic work of the students and teaching fraternity. With the little knowledge on legal matters and the university's historic achievements, I believe that it is the best place to launch my career as an attorney.
