Faith can described as the way in which man responds to the revelation of God. It is through faith that we are also able to the revalation that is in Jesus Christ. An act of faith generally involves one fully entrusting themselves in God. Faith has grace as it underlying factor followed and the Holy Spirit assists as a helper. 1st Corinthians 1:23 the bible can be used to prove that those who know God did it through the act of having faith and not through wisdom.
Reason on the other hand is what makes the foundation for faith. It is through reason that one can clearly distinguish between a believer of the word of God and a non-believer. Man clearly knows that God exists; creation of the world is enough proof of this. Therefore if human beings do not want to recognize God as the creator it is because they fail to reason and come into terms with the truth. In the book of Romans 1:20, the bible shows that it is through reason that one is able to reason, consequently leading to having faith.
Faith and reason cannot be separated at any given time. It is through faith and reason that the truth can be contemplated clearly. Every human being desires to know the truth; the bible says that from the truth we shall be set free. Truth can only be achieved by knowing God, trusting in him and loving him. After experiencing the love of God then one can come to the realization of the truth about life and themselves. Upon this realization then the spirit of reason and faith will never depart from ones heart. With faith and reason one is able to know the God both in spirit and in truth.
Question two
Does life have any meaning? This is a question that every human being asks themselves at a certain point of their life. I personally do not know where my life is headed to. Besides the few plans that we make, plans like getting married and having a family. I cannot give a certain answer of where my life is headed to. However one is certain of one thing, death. Death is the only certainty we have and we all know that after we have lived on earth, we cannot avoid death.
The bible states in the book of Isaiah 45:18 God created everything with a purpose including the trees, animals and even us. We are all created for a special purpose. One of the most important purposes that bring out the true meaning of life is to create a special relationship with God. We create a relationship with God by loving him, having faith in him and by following his commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says that we were created for the purposes of following Gods commandments. Another purpose for life was to bring forth to new life. God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and asked them to reproduce and fill the earth. It is therefore important to note that as a purpose for life.
What we should keep in mind is that life has meaning; its most important meaning is finding God. It is rare to hear cases of believers who commit suicide. Finding God comes with a lot of fulfillment that surpasses any human beings understanding.
