The flight cost from St. Cloud State, Minnesota to Santiago in Chile was a fair price. I was lucky to find the cheapest flight at $1,041. I had to leave St. Cloud state in the morning hours of 8 oclock to arrive at Chile early enough. I did some research and discovered that Santiago public system does not work 24 hours. From the airport, I took a taxi to my location in Santiago. Before I left St. Cloud State, I had already booked a taxi online to pick me up from the airport. The prices are too high, but I preferred to take a taxi than a shuttle bus. I paid $12,000 CLP. I spent my night at Bellavista apartments at a cost $66. That was the only cheapest hotel I could find near the metropolitan.

Cultural Activities

The significant cultural activity for the group to do in Santiago was nature, monuments, and sports. First, I went to Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel. The place is so quiet and beautiful. The location of the chapel is in the woods. Then I went for a nature walk in Tanyard Creek Nature Trail. The place has waterfalls, dripping springs, bathrooms, and picnic tables. Afterward, I went to play golf at the Bella Vista Country golf course. The course is very famous and oldest place in Santiago. When I asked around, the general manager informed me that the golf course had been around since 1968. The experience at the golf course was traditional and challenging. On average, we spent up to $123 to visit all those places.

Food

In general, the food in Santiago is perfect. I tried three different restaurants apart from the hotel I spent my three days. The particular food to try is pebre, seafood, and Curanto. The flavors of the food are exceptional and delicious. The total cost of food was $25.

Transport and Accommodation

The flight cost from Santiago to San Pedro is $515 and $58 via bus. Since I had nothing to do that day, I opted for public transportation. Though the trip was long, about 22 hours, I wanted to pass and see the geographical locations. The whole journey is about 1600 kilometers. I chose the Cama service so I could have a better view of the geographic areas in Chile. Besides, they stop for meals at different places. I booked my ticket as soon as I arrived at the terminal sales point in Santiago. I enjoyed the bus ride because the seats were very comfortable. Upon arrival, at the terminal in San Pedro, I took a taxi to my hotel room. I spent my nights at Monterey Inn at a price at $43 per night.

Cultural Activities

The great cultural activity for the group to do in San Pedro would be nature and tour. I went for a culture tour of San Juan. The tour gave an opportunity to see how life works in those areas. A guide who showed me weavers, people who deal in traditional medicines, and painters, accompanied me. More so, I visited the Zizima Eco Water Park. It is an excellent place to relax and enjoy water games. Afterward, I visited the Museum of Anthropology and History of San Pedro Sula. The museum has archaeological sites and provides pictures as well as stories of the history of San Pedro. Overall, I spent $20 to visit all the beautiful places in San Pedro.

Food

In general, food in San Pedro is delicious. However, the perfect dish that I loved to eat most at that time was their chicken. There is a restaurant called Slavkos where they prepare very nice food. Besides, in their fish market, they make excellent fish at an affordable price. $19 is enough to have a delicious meal at San Pedro and still save leftovers.
