Ceann Bhaigh is located in a suburban area which is largely surrounded by a Sea a complex geographical terrain in what i consider as remote. The area does not have any wireless connectivity, hence I have a telephone line network. The line telephone line network has a download link of 1024 Kbps/ 128 Kbps uplink bandwidth. The upstream provision is currently using the Global T & T technology. The objective is to maintain the current 35mbps that I am currently receiving; hence I will be connecting to the backbone internet, using the possible technologies suggested here. The technologies should be cost effective and relevant. They should also focus on what to deliver and how to deliver. I will be exploring the possible network connections based on my purchase ability and the allocations.

2. Suitable Network Technology

2.1 Cable Internet access

Cabled internet provision is a better alternative as compared to the telephone call. The options available to me are coaxial copper and fiber-optic. The coaxial cable connects to the various customer locations where they help in terminating the system. The connection helps in connecting to the remote cable drop in a head to head connection. Fiber transfer data in the speed of light hence making the connection continuous. The download connections achieves up to a speed of 400 Mbits, while the uplink reaches the speed of 20 Mbits. This seems a more stable and reliable network for me. The local communication is intercepted at various connections points while providing the appropriate encryption for the prevailing schemes. However, there is a downside of this connection. Firstly, it is way beyond my budget. Digging in cables might be expensive for my connection considering this is my own private network.

2.2 Power-line Internet

I can also decide to use this option because it provides a reliable Broadband over power lines. The internet data connection will be used for electric power transmission. The extensive power infrastructure around Liverpool helps in creating the appropriate transmission equipment cables or wires for the asymmetric connection. The systems are effective because it terminates to the power line cable internet systems. The power-line internet connectivity will require a long and strong cable, hence there is a higher costs. Also, I have to contact the local power house to allow me to mount my cable on their infrastructure, which might be expensive, taking a longer negotiation time as well as bureaucratic and not guaranteed. The Powerline connection encourages a better security that is more stable for the internet connection.

2.3 Satellite BroadbandThis option will require that I mount a Satellite dish outside my house. The option is good because downloads flow up to 1 Gigabit per seconds while downloads happen at most 10 Megabit. By far large, the option is appropriate because it has satellite antenna connection. The satellite connection is reliable, however it requires my ISP to have a geostationary satellite. However, the connection suffers a setback, because in Winter, the dish can malfunction because of severe changes of weather. Besides, the connection might suffer latency problems where the latency operates at a range of the 0.015 to 0.2 seconds. The application of require requires real-time response where the control is based on the acceleration technique for the problems as well having the right GEO satellite connection.

Based on my rural like location, I will require a mechanism that connects instantly. Hence, the power line reaches me more conveniently. The internet access via satellite presents a reliable and convenient way to provide high speed internet access. The wireless mesh is a composition of the network consists of the IEEE 802.11a, b, or b/g networks. The transmissions to and from provides the appropriate access points with multiple internet satellite links. The connection of the wireless mesh network presents reliable satellite connectivity and the high-speed internet access that is measured through various network connectivity. Based on what the BPL is presenting internet access that is important for data transmission capability for the separate satellite dishes.

2.4 WiMAX

The connection seems to serve my interests because of the costs, speeds and reliability. WiMAX is not different from Satellite Broadband connection because it relies connection over the internet. The standards are IEEE 802.16 that is fixed on the WiMAX standards. The connection is provided at 30-40 Megabits per second. The technology further provides rates for the 1 Gbit for fixed rate. The WiMAX operates within a metropolitan area that operates within a radius of about 50km. The infrastructure is reliable because I just need a special WiMAX aerial possibly made with aluminum, a router and a coaxial cable. Hence, I will be majoring with this technology.

WiMax is an acronym of the worldwide interoperability of Microwave devices. WiMax represents a wide area networking technology that helps in transmitting broadband signals on air to land distances which is the approximate miles. The WiMax has a standard for the IEE 802.16 which is the original specification for the several network deployment problems. WiMax will provide a client station with the antennae to communicate to the centralized station. The central station is a radio based under IEEE 802.16 terminology that is designed to provide through the cabled access network for the coaxial based systems. The 802.16 standard is defined using the 10 to 66 GHZ with a spectrum for the available global basis. Recognizing the line-to-sight problem associated with the 892.16 standard. Also, WiMax will help me operate lower frequencies that are 2 to 11 GHz for the operations licensed. WiMax supports the growth point to the point connection to point to multipoint transmission methods to the IEEE series of 802.11 Wireless LAN standards. The purpose of listing these technology options presents me with choices. The choices have their own specific merit and demerits, and pro or con depend naturally with the available options back to back with the geography of the area.

3. Problems of this LocationWhile using Broadband satellite, I might not face the problems of the choice of vendors. There are more than enough vendors in the areas. Besides, the equipment is very cheap and easily affordable for either of the two technologies. However, one has to consider the geographical terrain which includes many trees, like of many options because of the sea and also the distance vs. terrain ratio. The problems are largely on the reliability part and not the cost or connectivity. The WiMax and Satellite Broad connection utilize technologies such as Intelsat, Panamsat, and New Skies. These three companies provide a high Bandwidth with various broadcast circuits.

3.1 Speeds

WiMax, Broadband and Cable Network might be suffering some problems with the internet speeds. In this area where most people are merrymakers, I expect that there could be high downloading from people streaming online and gaming online. Powerline might suffer the same problems however if I choose a high bandwidth cable, I might enjoy the entire backbone myself. On the other hand, Broadband might be suffering limited availability because of the weather changes in this area. After running background check on the CITE, I noted that the remote area suffers problems of connectivity because of the harsh forest like train.

As well, Broadband and Wimax seems to be great, however speed is still a major concern. Apart from the actual speed of the assured internet, it is notable that the consumption bandwidth might change from the main backbone. In addition to the weather problems, the possible reasons revolve around the dial up in Broadband and the Wimax microwave. Also, the question of costs is distributed valiantly. For instance, Powerline and Fiber cable are considerably expensive, whereas, WiMax and Broadband are considerably cost effective.

3.2 High-Loss RatesBoth WiMax and Broadband have high-loss rates that range to up 60 percent of the total signal quality. This is further accelerated by changing weather conditions, device or power failures. Hence, it will require installing a high capacity device in a much protected area. Also, the four technologies can be prone to external attacks that are if the equipment or protocols are subsidized. Hence, it will be necessary to house my infrastructure in a much secure environment. In this case, it will be necessary to rent space from existing towards while placing the infrastructure in a suitable and expensive position. The goal is to ensure that networking topology is stable and easily configurable.

3.3 Power problems

Additionally, in the area, there could be possible unreliable power interruptions. Although I might be having a background generator to respond to erratic power changes, the possibility of failed connection from the local supply grid is subject to the changes in the weather conditions. In this case, the network is subject to the changes in voltages conditions for the solar power controlling as well a high costs in ensuring the stability and the reliable supply of power.

3.4 Advanced Network ManagementFurthermore, some of these technologies for instance, Brandband and Powerline require an advance network management protocol before deployment. The operations are based on the possible repair faults for the high travel and possibly having an expensive repair package. In response, the essential network design seeks to tolerate probably failure nodes and various tree topologies that allows for the appropriate configuration and management tools for the operator and creation of the right source faults.

4.0 Future TechnologiesFor this area, to have a reliable network there is possible future technologies some of which are currently in tests and could a great deal of improving the network.

4.1 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are possibly one of the chief technologies that might change The networking industry requires the adoption of the high-speed and wireless and networking. The communication between the manned aircraft and the UAVs creates a possibility of creating a stable networking although not the main network because there will be a backup. The broader implicati...
