In golf there is the etiquette, Don't be the slowest player but however gentlemanly the sport may be the breaking of this rule falls on one of the group members. Therefore as a group we have our own principle No one left behind Therefore I pose this question, What is the etiquette of a particular group of golfers who play regularly at a specific country club? I pose this research question in view of my group because this is something I have always wondered about based on my personal experience and my observation of my group. CITATION Gol17 \l 1033 (Golfalot)Rule number one in Golf has got everything to do about etiquette, but it is imperative to first of all get to know what exactly do we mean by etiquette? This can be said to be the basic rights applying to you and your group of fellow golfers be it playing or watching. These rights help a group of golfers in getting the most from their game and that of others. CITATION Bar \l 1033 (Barbara Puett) So can we say a golfer has broken the rules by being the slowest?

My group at Schuylkill country club is comprised of four golfers namely Bailey Sophy. Tanner Cook, Austin Boyer and Luke Mcgowen. For example in our group I have often wondered if the rule of Don't be the slowest player really fosters a team spirit. Golf is a gentlemans game ridden with several rules of etiquette which can be categorized in three:

1. Playing Golf There is a certain set of etiquette Before You Start

2. Playing Golf There are certain etiquettes On The Course

3. And there is a certain etiquette with fellow Golfers since this sport is all about companionship couple with getting on gentlemanly so to say with the people you are playing with. CITATION PGA17 \l 1033 (PGA)When these etiquette steps are followed one will always have someone to tee it up with.

On the issue of my research question I plan to get an opinion from others therefore I will carry out a primary research (interviews, observations, surveys) while I will also attempt to look into secondary scholarly research.

In my group we have summed sum up the rules of etiquette in golf into six. These are

I. Don't be the slowest player

In our casual games at Schuylkill, we usually get around in just under four hours -- and that's in fivesomes. We honestly and often evaluate our pace of play encouraging each other to move quickly

II. Keep your temper in check

Since we all have our moments of frustration, our trick not to vent in an offensive way.

III. Respect other people's time

No breaking a golf date at least not in the last minute and always make your tee times.

IV. Be a silent partner

The main point here is, one should stand still from the time a player has set him/herself not moving at least until the ball has left the club. This involves knowing where to stand as well as when to be silent. CITATION PGA17 \l 1033 (PGA)V. Always look your best

clothing has to always look sharp and crisp as it speaks volumes about not only the group member as a person but also it sheds a good image of our group. CITATION PGA17 \l 1033 (PGA)VI. Pay attention

Since there are a hundred bits of etiquette to be adhered to in golf therefore each member is required to always stay alert . All of these etiquette are learned by observing, both with a sharp eye as well as a considerate heart. CITATION PGA17 \l 1033 (PGA)Golf is a sport that has a way of returning favors, and rest assured that every piece of etiquette that is practiced has a way of repaying tenfold.
