Introduction

During the early 1990s, the internet was introduced in the world and it gave rise to new methods of posting and finding various types of information on the internet. Unlike most innovations, WEB was invented by only one person who eventually gave it a name which is still used to date, World Wide Web. Tim Berners-Lee was born in London in the year 1955. Both of his parents were computer programmers at the University of Manchester. Having been born in the same year as Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, kids of his era found it quite easy to operate and hold the basic components and equipment they could play with.

Berners-Lee innovation concepts began when he was hired as a consultant at CERN (Isaacson 315). He needed to come up with a way to connect among the thousand researchers, with their projects and the computer system. Since both the people and the computers spoke different languages, he was determined to come up with an ad hoc links to connect the two. Since Berners-Lee wanted to keep track of the different languages, he came up with a program to help him do so. By just typing in the name of a project or a person and then create a link that would show which person or project is related. After noticing that people tend to scribble a diagram when explaining to him the various relationship at CERN.

In 1963, hypertext was made and it is a phrase or a word that is coded which when it is clicked, it sends a reader to a different piece of content or document. By the end of 1990, Berners-Lee created Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) in order to allow hypertext to be exchanged online and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) was for creating pages. In the year 1993, the World Wide Web hit orbital velocity.

One of the lessons learned from reading the perspective of business is that I should have positive perceptions and attitudes about learning (Isaacson 350). When students lack positive perception and attitudes, they are unable to learn proficiently. There are two major categories of perception and attitude which affect learning. One of them is the perception and attitude about classroom tasks and perception and attitudes about the learning climate. The basic premise is that an effective teacher has internalized strategies and techniques for enhancing those perceptions and attitudes.

Fostering positive perceptions and attitudes about the learning climate is another lesson I learned while reading from the perspective of a business. Around the 1980s, the number of researches concerning the role of classroom climate increased tremendously. Climate was conceptualized in different factors that were external to the learners. Some of such factors are the quantity and quality of the resources available and the classroom's physical environment. This has made psychologists start viewing classroom climate as a function of perception and attitude of the learner other than as an element external to the learning. Where students have some perceptions and attitudes, they change their mental climate in order to make it conducive to learning. There are two types of perception and attitudes affecting mental climate. They are a sense of comfort and a sense of acceptance.

I also learned how to plan on how to develop positive perceptions and attitudes about learning. A good teacher should always try to foster a positive perception and attitude about learning. Most of the way in which they do so is very simple. Transparent behaviors are mostly the results of a conscious decision in planning.
