Diffused Light

In these two photos, the type of light used is natural. The photos are taken at a time when the shadow formed will be softer and in most cases the shadows are not visible. The shadows formed will also not be darker hence the quality of the photo is maintained. This type of light gives clear imagesand the colours of the subject are visible. This makes it possible to observe all the parts of the photograph. The main advantage of diffused light is that the light focuses on the subject on all the sides since the light comes from the surroundings.

Using Flash

This photo is taken using an artificial source of light. The flash is situated at a strategic point where the light is focused on the subject. The light source is usually raised on one side. It gives more roundness than when the flash is placed on the camera. The light is distributed evenly and it makes it possible for all the parts of the photograph to be visible while making the colours of the subject to be clear. The flash light was used in the right way since there was no creation of shadows in the background. The advantage of using flash light in taking photographs is that it can be used at night or when there is no natural lighting. The disadvantage of using flash light is that the light gets dimmer when the source is placed at a distant point.

However, the flash light was not enough to fully brighten and cover the shadows created by the sun rays.The reason is that the source of the flash light was placed at a far distance hence the light became a bit dimmer. The photographer should have used another equipment to diffuse and to focus the artificial light on the objects. The advantage of taking photos at an angle into the light is that it prevents formation of blurred images. The main disadvantage of taking photos when the natural light is stronger than the flash light is that it leads to formation of multiple shadows of the objects in the foreground.
