The organization that I selected in this chapter is the banking sector. I selected it because it is among the major sectors that need teamwork in achieving its short term and long term goal. In the organization, each persons' role is much significant, and every member needs to get motivated and equipped with organization skills and values.

What are the terminal and instrumental values of the organization?

The terminal values that the organization may adopt include professional excellence, innovativeness, economy prosperity, profitability, and prosperity.

Due to the competition n the banking industry, the group needs to adopt the following Instrumental values for it to achieve its ultimate goal: risk-taking, creativity, and hard work.

How do they affect its members attitudes and behaviors?

Both the terminal ad instrumental values would influence the behavior of the members because they will have to strategize their instrumental values towards the given terminal values of the group. The effect will be conservative culture, whereby the employees follow the accepted principle of behavior.

Identify the main beliefs and norms of organizational members.

Being courteous, while working, being cooperative while working as a group, being a "team player," punctuality, and neatness.

How do these norms relate to the organization's values?

The norms guide the conduct of the members operating in the organization, it regulates their behaviors with their mates as well as the general public. The norms are mainly equipped by the organization members to maintain a peaceful and business environment that will stream towards the desired goals of the organization.

Is there a fit between them?

There is fit between the social and technical system while working together to develop work efficiency.

Identify areas for improvement.

The areas that require some improvement include, efficiency will be serving the clients, handling of the hostile customers as well as illiterate ones when conducting transactions.

How does the organization socialize new members?

Organization socialization can be done through teaching them values, motivate them, cautioning of the potential risks in the organization, social knowledge, and professional skills required to effectively take the organizations role and take part as a member of the organization.

Could the ways it helps newcomers learn the organizations culture be improved?

The organization needs to have steps in socializing new members, hence promoting the organization continuity towards the goal instead of change that will divert the course of the organization. New members will be able to quickly adopt the required experience needed and have equal knowledge with the rest, therefore, promoting workflow, cooperation, efficiency, and prosperity.
