The current debate going around by citizens and leaders of the United States of America raises mixed questions on the eligibility of the Homeland Security Department and other security enforcement agencies. One group claims that legal immigration within the USA is slowly destroying civilization while the separate section believes that illegal immigration is not a significant challenge. The department has been tasked with issuing as well as rejecting visas to the visitors to the USA (White, 2016). It is, however, disputing to experience increased cases of terrorism as well as drug smuggling even with set upon rules and regulations in place (Dustman & Fasani, 2017).

Among the many who believe that security can be enhanced by securing their borders are the legislative representatives. They, therefore, oblique the Homeland Security to apply measures which ensure the borders are protected. The debate has however continued for decades without any reasonable conclusion. Consequently, they end up moving some of the significant decision makings to the judiciary and even the executive. The current president Donald Trump came into power by major support to his campaign pledge to deal with the whole issue of terrorism and deportation (J, 2017). At some point, he promised to build a wall bordering Mexico. Nevertheless, having been in office for some time, he has scaled fulfilling part of the promise while the other becoming a hurdle due to public opposition and legal obstacles (Rodriguez & Hagan, 2016).

Right, et al. (2016) in their documentation presents the peoples' view on the immigration debate. A section of people believes immigration should be eliminated, while many want the concerned authorities including Homeland Security only to stop illegal immigration and tighten up measures to prevent immigration from countries that may sponsor acts of terrorism toward the United States. Additionally, they propose deployment of the state's military forces at the border until national law enforcement has been agreed upon to deter illegal border transactions. Contrarily, other individuals consider that the debate on immigration is overweighed and do not see its essence (Schuck, 2018).

The biblical view on the entire topic of immigration also raises issues with how the government deals with the matter. Part of the citizens relies on the section of the Bible in Exodus 22 which urges Christians not to go hard on visitors (Nagel & Ehrkamp, 2016). However, the Bible gives the authority the leadership to rule over its subjects and make a decision which considerably is good for its citizens basing on the fact leadership is God-given.

It is clear that there exist concerns whether the law in place is efficient or not. There is a drawing line between those who believe the law is not being enforced and those proposing more though rules to be developed. This is due to the existence of terrorism issues in the USA and its borders even with the existence of law (Dwyer, 2014). The implementation of all that concern immigration will still take probably more years due to lack of cooperation from other countries. Whenever the state wants to remove immigrants, the country they belong to becomes a block by delay issuing transactions or even revoke issuing travel documents at all.

Finally, there is no clear distinction between the federal agencies and on how the local laws should be enforced in which at specific instances they collide. The local government enforces laws to protect its citizens against terrorist acts. On the other hand, the agencies advocate for equal rights even to the immigrants. Therefore, there is a partnership required in solving the issue of immigration in order to ensure that laws are followed and rights of people are also not violated.
