The Mindset in the Workplace

Adopting a positive mindset at work may be hard at times because it requires lots of determination and tight deadlines and even stress. Thus it needs positive psychology to allow problems solving and optimistic work rather than from a negative workplace. Structural changes often lead to variations in the workforce causing, a lot of work for individual team members and callous working environment. Thus this results in pressure and stress for the employees, which sometimes affects them outside the workplace like at home. Therefore this may strangle the employee happiness, and this may also be a result of lack of understanding the task and time management. Additionally, younger generations do lack confidence in their work especially when handling new roles; this leads to impostor syndrome that hampers our performance and functions at work, this may create a hostile environment for everybody within the same place (Collins et al., 2018).

A positive mindset doesn't only help in the workplace, but if we begin to fall into the pessimistic trap and act more negatively, our day will end on a negative way, and this will reduce our energy levels for the daily tasks. Secondly, we take our negativity out on others, and this can impact relationships, thus affecting our general psychology. Negativity can push people away from you and stop achievements of goals; positivity works on the opposite way. If we remain positive, we will attract positive people around us, and this will leads us to have healthy and happy people around us. As a result, we do feel good, have a relaxed mind and focus on work. Being positive also helps increase creativity too, a positive mind is open to ideas and absorbs information much more than a negative one (Kim, 2017).

Building an appositive mindset will take time and effort, but if you have a negative mindset, this becomes hard. First one has to learn to write three good things every day; this helps evoke positive psychology. It's essential to create a routine of praising yourself for the success you have made as this will help increase your positivity example, take keen note of what colleagues say about what you have done to them like when they say thank you, manager praising you for the excellent work done, a client also being satisfied with your performance.these are some of the things that reflects how you perceive success in your life. Have a culture of celebrating achievements both yours and others. If work is completed and appreciated people involved get encouraged. This positive feeling can spread quickly and create positive working relationships for those who enjoy you celebrating success with them. Also, you can appreciate yourself with a reward for a work well done like buying yourself a coffee, as this train your mind to be decisive for success. Finally, do something you appreciate at least once a day. Whether that be a morning walk, or reading a book, do something that makes you feel good about yourself. Being happy makes life more enjoyable. Hence we should all take time to appreciate what we have around us (Keren and Wu 2016).

Hence it's imperative to note that how we do perceive things to be in life that's how it would turn out to be if we only concentrate on the negative part of everything we won't be able to achieve anything, and this calls for appositive mind for appositive results.

Findings and Recommendations

From the research, we carried out we found out that; first how a person makes his/ her judgment towards something will always determine the results they achieve. For one to come up with one most preferred decision, there must have been arrays of available options to choose from. Negativity leads to negative results which bring about discouragement. A positive mind will always bring solutions to a problem than a negative thought. People do attract others of their kind, if you are positive definitely you will interact with positive people and you will experience peace and positive results at your workplace and on the contrary, negative mind will lead to stress, lack of confidence, creating negative environment for people around you, breaking of relationships among people and this may lead to undesirable results at workplace and cause discouragements.

It is natural at times to get discouraged, none is perfect that's why not all judgments and decisions that a person makes are correct but I recommend that for someone to keep both his colleagues and workforce on the track towards achieving the stipulated goals. Also, it's good to adopt strategies to stay positive minds and thinking on every individual in the organization. In conclusion, final judgment and decision making can only be effective if it can bring a positive outcome.
