Perception is an important part of daily human life. It is a composite of the five senses of touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing. These senses coordinate to initiate various mental images. In essence, the brain receives that information from the five senses and translates them into actions, thoughts, and explanations. I can see a metallic object that resembles a key. It is brown in color. I think it is a key because it is a small metallic object uniquely designed to open just a single lock or padlock of a door, window, car, wardrobe, or many other lockable things. Based on their exclusive designs that make them unlock secured places, keys provide an easy way of accessing such areas.

Looking at the key, many descriptions come forth to my mind. I can see that the key is quite old this is because of the different color variations that can be spotted on it. The key seems to be of golden brass color, but some color changes can be observed on the tip, bow, and blade and the initials imprinted on the key. The different color variation is almost silver, and this can be attributed to its long and extensive use. The different color shaded makes me think that the key has been in use by many people.

At the front of the key, I see an embedded writing that identifies the country in which it was manufactured. The words, Made in USA stands out conspicuously on the slightly rounded blade thus helping me to determine that an American company produced it. The fact that the name of the country is written, I think that the key is high quality since the country is known to make first class items. At the back of the key, I see some numbers and letters written in capital and bold, the printed initials are (0089N). From my point of view, the number could be the identification numbers to show that the given key opens a particular lock and thus it cannot be confused with another one even if they may look alike.

The key has three teeth. The teeth form serrated surfaces that are rugged and probably interlock with the surfaces of the padlock during the process of opening. The teeth provide both a functional and visual difference between the particular key and any other key. The keys tip tapers outwards and has one avalanche-like grove on the side with the name Made in USA and other two grooves at the edge with the number 0089N. The blade as a near-pentagon shape with a round hole that makes it possible for me to see through from the one flattened facet to the other. Based on my approximation and error, I think the key blade is approximately 5 inches in width, and 2.25 inches in length whereas the shaft is 1.75 inches long.

The blade is smooth except for the places with an imprinted logo, the word Made in USA and the number 0089N. these writings seems to have been ingrained into the key after it was manufactured as a finished product hence they are indelible. On the tapering end, the grooves are rugged on one sharp side, but only the ridges are rough on the flat sides. The key is also freezing due to its metallic materials. The key has a mixture of rust and iron fillings smell. The small that is like of metal fillings is probably due to the friction it produces during the opening of the locks or the mere fact that it is metallic. On the other hand, the rust is because of the moisture that settles on it and the fact that in most case it is in the open air. The smell is like that of a coin.
