Introduction

"Nobody is perfect;" often people will quote this saying to remind others when they make mistakes, that in this world, no one is perfect. Unfortunately, human beings want everything to be perfect. And when things go wrong, they beat themselves up and blame themselves for their mistakes and forget that nobody is perfect. Sometimes, we should remind ourselves of this fact, and that reminder can come from the most unlikely places or people.

From ancient times, a dog has always been a man's best friend and best friends know each other well as opposed to other people. A dog and its owner are inseparable; they know and understand each other (Meiches 17). And they do communicate and share and express feelings or emotions towards each other. However, sometimes the dog is proved to be smarter than its owner. A dog knows when its owner is happy or sad; when he is sick or when he wants to be left alone. Who taught the dog these things? Does a dog have a functioning brain like humans? Or is a dog just smarter than humans as humans have to learn some of these traits?

Dogs are very playful animals, and they enjoy when they are playing with their owners. Unlike humans who are shown how to play, it comes naturally for dogs. Does that make dogs smarter than humans? We shall find out at the end of this article. Dogs are obedient and serve their masters diligently without asking any questions (Meiches 15). Also, they are very loyal to their owners. Unlike human beings who have to be taught about obedience and before obeying they ask questions first.

In their playful moments with their owners, they play and do as commanded. They will go left when told to or right or bring something when asked to. They might appear foolish to human beings because after all, they are only but animals. But they are smart animals. Unlike dogs, human beings are competitive; they play to win. They don't play or do as they are told like dogs because they don't want to appear or look stupid.

Whenever a dog obeys the orders of its owner, often they are praised and shown extra love and tenderness by being taken for a walk or sleeping with their owners. Also, we usually tell them "good boy;" when they diligently obey. Many people, in as much as they love their dogs, think that they are only but animals, not humans. They assume that they cannot think as humans do but what if that is a wrong assumption?

When owners tell their dogs that they are good boys, usually it is said because they are loyal and obedient. Dogs are looked at as perfect, faithful and respectful, and so they are often called good boys because unlike human beings, they obey without asking questions. They are simply perfect. However, when dogs are assumed to be perfect, people then forget the saying "nobody is perfect" (Veenhoven 4). Assuming then that dogs are perfect, does it then mean that human beings are "imperfect and defective?" In a world where dogs are perfect, then they are way "cool" than humans.

After all, people want "perfect" things and people. If dogs then are perfect and smarter than humans, then there will be "dog invasion or rather revolution'' where dogs will take charge and rule over humanity. Imagine such a world; where animals rule people. The earth will be called the "dog kingdom;" and what a kingdom it will be, being ruled by dogs. But, if nobody is perfect, then dogs aren't excellent either.

The fact that dogs are loyal, obedient and don't ask questions does not make them smarter than human beings. They live out of their animalistic nature, and people live out of their humanistic character as they were created and meant to live by God. However, both dogs and human beings, no one is perfect, and there is nothing like an ideal world (Veenhoven 4).

. The imperfections and the differences between dogs and humans are what make the world a better place to live in. The flaws create room for growth because if everything were perfect, there would be no point of living anyway. There would probably be "supremacy battles;" with human beings and animals fighting to rule and control each other.

According to Meiches dogs aren't perfect or smarter than human beings' they merely share their environment with humans (p.11). And since dogs have been human's companions for a long time, they have adapted to the human's environment. They have merely become non-human humanitarians. A perfect world is one with a good life; with no imperfections at all. That kind of society, however, does not exist. The system of living by human beings isn't different from that of dogs only that dogs have adapted to the living system of human beings (Veenhoven 4).

Conclusion

In conclusion, from the above facts, nobody is perfect, and sometimes people need to be reminded of that fact. Animals are not perfect either, they have merely adapted to man's way of living. Also, dogs are not smarter than human beings; they only live their lives following their animalistic nature. They have adapted their nature with that of their closest companions; humans. And yes, human beings need to be reminded that indeed nobody is perfect even if that reminder comes from a dog.
