Environmental justice is crucial when it comes to the achievement of good health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities (Forman, Solomon, Pezzoli and Morello-Frosch, 2019). It gives everybody an equal chance of fair treatment as well as the involvement of everyone in decision making concerning the environment regardless of their race, ethnicity or economic status. Environmental justice ensures that everyone has a right to a clean environment and access to natural resources. If all people cannot take charge and ensure that, the environment is clean and save to everyone, some people especially those of low income and the poor will live in environments that are polluted with toxic substances. A family, and a community, will be healthy if it stays in a clean environment, takes clean food, has access to medication and takes clean water.

Members of the vulnerable populations, low-income people, people of color as well as disabled people face numerous environmental risks (Vancampfort et al. 2018.). People with low income stand a risk of living in poor places, which have been contaminated by chemicals from industries. Disabled people like the blind cannot vend food for themselves. The blind can also be injured if they do not get good guides. The food security problem has become more severe despite the fact of the efforts made by different organizations to solve it. The problem has often led to other problems as malnutrition, emaciation, and other diseases like cholera and typhoid. Kids are exposed to environmental pollutants that are contained in the air and food that they take. This happens because they inhale a lot of and take more food compared to the adults. On the other hand, people with disabilities are most of the time involved in danger and some assaults because they are not able to recognize or detect danger in their environment.
