The initial stages of drug addiction involve the intake of small doses of the drug. Drug dependence and tolerance soon sets in and the person pursues a higher dose to maintain the same feeling. This trend is attributable to the presence of drug in both small and high quantities. Another factor that contributes to the acquisition of drug abuse behavior is peer pressure. Prostitution is a perfect example of a crime that is initiated by social deprivation.
