I had always thought of my mom been a strong and independent person as been a mother of two all of which she raised us on her own after our father died when we were little kids. She managed to work in unstable jobs were she never gave up to ensure we have something in the table. Despite earning a small income, she managed to take has to school even though she was illiterate, she knew education would impact us with the best knowledge in our life. She also cared for other needy children through helping them join schools and paying little money she had to ensure they stayed in school. The characteristic of my mother is none of what I see from other people. She has a unique character of been a role model to the society.

Through the influence of my mother I would have no morals.it would have been difficult to reach my real potential. Regardless of how I failed in school work, she always encouraged me to get up and try to be successful in academic again and I again no matter how hard it was. She believed that if you put your mind to something you will always succeed. She is the one who was there when I could not fix my problems and instead gave advice on the ways of overcoming the challenges. She used our failure to advise other children to ensure that they will not fall into such challenges. She knew when to say and when not to say anything to enable me to do things on my own. This gave me the strength to do a thing on my own.

She always advised to work with other students in the classroom and be the first one to extend that friendship by been kind, patient and helpful. The emotional strain she encounters during emergencies or when one of us felt sick gave her the strength of helping other people. After high school education and the failures in encountered during the final exam made me lose hope in life. Our country was going through political instability were the emergence of war which made many to lose their lives. Seen many people lost their life due to lack of adequate health care services and recalling the advice my mom had given, that what made me realize I should never give up. It gives the motivation to go back to school and pursue nursing.

My aim was to help other people and give back the society. Through my career, my motivations have always been my mother who has geared me to perform excellently and the wars which have taken away from many lives in our country. Her teaching character and advice has always remained in me in all of my life. It's because of that I have gained a lot and succeeded in my nursing career, and she has given hope that I will achieve my future goals. She has not only been my mother but also my best friend who has guided me to the right path. My relationship with her is something that I will treasure more anything else in my life.
