I would recommend Tacoma, Washington over Rochester, New York and Fayetteville, North Carolina. Tacoma, Washington has a better wired interned connection which will meet the business goals and objective.
The office location will be setup as follows, there will be desktop computers at every employee working station. Employees who are mostly mobile will have laptops which will be synched with their accounts so that their data is harmonized both on the move and while in the office. There will be printers in the office which will be interconnected remotely to the other offices, so that printing can be done on premise, from the remote offices and to the remote offices. The office will have video conferencing equipment for communication to other offices.
The key consideration for identifying an internet provider for the new location are the connection type, connection availability, connection speed, cost and connection security. The employees in this location will be required to make video calls to remote offices, they will be required to print documents to remote printers, they should be able to access their files while on the move. The connection should be fiber optic cable for reliability and high bandwidth, the connection should be at least 97% available, the speed should be at least 100mbps download and 25mbps upload to support video conferencing, the connection cost should be within the market standard connection rate and the connection should be secure.
Some of the Internet service providers available in Tacoma, Washington are, US. XFINITY and CenturyLink. XFINITY uses constant guard to secure its network, has speeds of up to 250mbps download and 25mbps upload and has 97.7% availability. The Constant Guard includes Norton Security suit which is known for its efficiency (Denning, 1999). CenturyLink integrates users computers and already established security system with its multilayered security. CenturyLink has speeds of up to 100mbps download and has 95.4% availability ("Company Overview", 2017)
The Internet Provider of my choice is the US. XFINITY from Comcast. US. XFINITY has an availability rate of 97.7 % and a maximum rate of 250mbps download speed and 25mbps upload speed. I will propose to the subscription of the maximum speed available so that it support live video teleconferencing calls with employees based at the other sites.
Hardware requirements for the new locations are, i3s, i5s or i7s desktops and laptops windows computers and Macs so that they could support software needed for daily tasks, printers that are google cloud print enabled so that they can be accessed and print remotely. The Random-Access Memories (RAM) should be at least 4GB to support the employee workload. For video conferencing the recommended hardware are, a camera, a codec to convert audio and video to digital signal, a microphone, a speaker, a monitor and an IP or ISDN connection.
The software requirements for the locations are, windows 8 or windows 10 operating systems for the desktops and laptop computers. These are the operating that are supported by Microsoft ("Resources & System Requirements | Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac", 2017)
The printers can be access remotely via VPN or setting up google cloud print. For the printers that are google cloud print enabled, I will recommend installing google cloud print service and setting it up on windows computers. The printers that dont have google cloud print feature should be set up using a VPN connection for remote printing
