First Finding Connection with Education and Living a Healthier Lifestyle

The first finding is the connection between education and living a healthier lifestyle. This is highly important because if you have a higher education there is a higher probability that you will maintain a well-balanced life. Therefore, you will be more conscious of what you place into your body and the importance of caring for your health. Throughout my research, I found that those without a college education do not care as much for their personal health. Those who are college educated will not smoke and will drink with moderation. It was also proven that individuals that are educated will go to yearly checkups frequently unlike those who do not have an education.

In the first source that I found Mirowsky and Ross (1988) describe the relationship between educated individuals and the achievement of having a healthy lifestyle. The study also demonstrates the importance of passing on and making sure their children also obtain a healthy lifestyle. In order to obtain all the data, there was a random data sampling performed. Participants between the ages of 18 and 95 were telephoned and interviewed.

The second source I found was Ross and Wu (2008) the researchers analyze three research questions that are the following. In this section, only one of the questions affects this particular study. The question is "Do individuals have control over a healthier lifestyle" (Ross, Wu 2008). This question was proven correct those who have an education will have a healthier lifestyle overall regardless of

The third source is that by Dishman concerning the adherence in health-related exercise. Dishman writes the article to consider the exerciser, the setting of the exercise and the interaction in person-setting which are factors that lead to recidivism in exercise programs. The author states that it is important to create a culture of exercise in the clinical setting because of the aspect of timeliness of the controlled research on exercise adherence which requires reinforcement through the growing use of interventions. The argument in the paper is that exercise is crucial for a healthy life and if education is included in the same, it makes it a great deal as long as people comply with the prescriptions. He also mentions that the predictive limitations of studies focus solely on screening and diagnosis or the other side of intervention instead of using a strategy that can combine both. Thus, this kind of interaction in health-related exercise helps to make it god to comply.

The fourth source is by Gundala and Chava (2010) who mention the impact of education on the health status and they are specific to periodontal health. They state that there can only be a significant decrease in periodontitis when there is an increase in education level. Diseases of the gum are not curable but they are all treatable and they can also be prevented. Individuals will only be aware of these processes of visiting a dentist and performing cleaning on a regular basis if only they are educated on the same. The authors' view on education is that it largely affects the practices towards the reduction of periodontitis and enhance the general way of living and the associated conditions. Education will ensure that one knows how to take care of their gum and so leading to better health conditions among individuals.

Second Finding Older Adults Live Healthier and Relaxed Lifestyle

The Second finding is quite important when older educated individuals have finished working and are now relaxing enjoying their retirement it is easier to obtain a healthy lifestyle. It is proven that the older educated white man will live longer than the younger uneducated young man. This is because throughout the lifespan this individual maintains a well-balanced diet and ate moderately and would work out moderately as well.

The First source is from Patel and Jack (2007) who argue the point on education and health creating a background among the older adults. They state the crucial stage in the process of disablement where there is an increase in the risk of disability through the loss of mobility. Talking about education and health, Jack and Patel mention that education helps to ensure appropriate growth in the aspects of physical activities that one learns to perform earlier in life and have a relation with mobility when it comes to later in life during their older ages. Thus, education helps one to know how to grow healthier for the sake of the old times because that is what they need to ensure they do not get disabled due to the loss of mobility. Thus, education ensures that adults live healthier and have a relaxed lifestyle because they built on the same when they were younger.

The Second source is by Ryff (1989) talking about his view on psychological well-being among the middle-aged group and the older adults as well. The mental health folder adults are at a point of deterioration in that their functioning is not at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment. Good psychological health means that the individuals have not issues with mental health which is only achieved through education in the earlier stages of life such that the individuals implement the same at the higher levels of life. In the older life, individuals need to be free of depression, anxiety and other problems that they gain if they are well-educated on how to deal with them.

The Third Source by Robert (1974) who talks more about successful ageing and the importance of having a life review. He mentions the idea of education that is the critical factor enhancing appropriate ageing and living a healthy lifestyle at this age. The older people need to prevent problems in later life hence favour successful ageing through learning about the extrinsic factors such as diet, exercise as well as personal habits that people often underestimate and not look at the simplistic view that ageing is through genetics. They need to learn about the conditions they are likely to face in their older life and maintain manageable standards. Successful ageing thus requires one to know the life on the other side and prepare adequately. This way, they will be able to live a good life and a healthier lifestyle.

The fourth Source is by James and Mazzonna (2012) talking about the effect of education on the cognitive abilities of individuals in the old age. These skills continue to decline with age and they include the likes of vocabulary, conceptual reasoning, memory as well as the processing speed. The case that these authors give is that of the British compulsory school reform where they increased the school-leaving age to a minimum of 15 years from 14. They argue that additional years of education are important in building on the late-life cognitive skills as the adults continue to be taught on these skills and advance them in different aspects. Thus, these individuals will be aware of how to improve these skills throughout life as they are taught on ways, they can do that which includes maintaining a healthy weight, taking supplements and training their brain.

Conclusion

Education is important in living a healthy lifestyle as it teaches one about physical, mental, emotional and social health. Individuals are motivated to improve and maintain their health, prevent diseases and reduce any risky behaviors. Education helps the learners to learn skills that they will use to make healthy choices throughout life.
