My day begins at 5 A.M. where I rise and get ready for a hectic day. I am thankful for public health as I interact with it every day in my life. I visit my bathroom where I take a cold shower and proceed to make my breakfast. From the public health knowledge, I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it gives me the energy to carry out my duties at my workplace. I then proceed to brush my teeth after my breakfast. This is in line with my public health education which requires one to brush teeth after every meal. This helps to keep my teeth stronger and maintain a fresh mouth void of any odors.

I set out for work along the busy street in the urban center. The air is usually stuffy, smoky and polluted. This is due to the air pollution by the numerous factories situated in the neighborhood. I understand that this air is not suitable for me as it is polluted. To protect myself from possible pollution, I use a mask to cover my mouth and nose. I breathe through this mask to help cleanse the air. I proceed to my workplace where I meet and greet my colleagues. I shake hands with my colleagues, hug others close to me and engage in conversations with them. From my public health knowledge, shaking hands can lead to acquiring of infectious diseases. To counter this, I wash my hands before settling down at my desk.

My work as a public health inspector involves field work and visitations to ensure that eatery facilities meet the required health standards. I visit eatery points around my area of residence to ensure that they comply with the legislation. By nine in the morning, I set out together with my colleagues to ensure we meet the day's schedule. We visit eatery points such as hotels, restaurants, motels, and inns to ensure that they observe the recommended best practices. I always ensure that I cross-check every detail correctly to ensure we give the best feedback to the business people. Most of the eateries do not observe the recommended procedures when handling food products. They do not meet the required level of hygiene, and I know that this could trigger the spread of infectious diseases. In that case, I strive to sensitize the people over the importance of human life over earthly positions.

Conclusion

I spend the whole day behind my desk and visiting eateries. During these visits, I educate the persons running the eateries on the importance of maintaining clean environments. From my public health knowledge, I understand the importance of a clean environment. I head back to the office to record reports of the eateries I have visited. I then get ready to go back home but first wait for traffic to ease. Later in the evening, I head back to my house.
