Introduction
In a working environment, it is essential for workers to adhere to the various conditions and guidelines that are set by such institutions. However, these guidelines should provide a platform where there exist mutual understanding between employees and employers for the success of the institution. It is important to understand that job satisfaction are the positive attitudes or some emotional dispositions that people obtain from a working environment or duties they perform. Besides, it is worth to admit that job performance highly depends on employees' job satisfaction and it is the reason as to why it has been given much attention by various researchers and organizations (Luthans et al., 2007). It is also described as a positive emotional state that results when one is appraised in the job or job experience. It is connected to dimensions of a job like supervision, promotion opportunities, and improved pay among others. The most appropriate way to improve work performance and job satisfaction are by rewarding employees who exemplarily perform their delegated duties.
To create my job satisfaction, I would ensure that I provide a positive working environment to my fellow employees as well as employers by going a step further the call of duty and provide for the needs of other people (Luthans et al., 2007). Another way I will ensure personal job satisfaction is by developing my skills and potentiality through improved means like training so that I can be able to perform my duties competently and in the most effective manner. Additionally, in improving my job satisfaction, I would ensure that I involve, improve, and learn from other employees as this will enable me to be engaged and feel part of the system. I will also be able to learn from areas that I have limited knowledge about.
It is worth to mention that ethical behavior is the way in which one behaves in a manner in line with their values and that of the organization. One ethical issue I ever encountered is racism (Luthans et al., 2007). This was a major problem at the organization that I worked at. Being the only different person in the workplace, I was always being harassed. The kind of jobs I was delegated was huge, and I always left work very late in the evening. This was because I had to clear all the pile of the file first that it when I could leave for home. In addition to this, I was always being ambushed and among the employees at the same level, was the one who received small pay. It was tedious and hectic. The matter grew out of hand, and I humbly reported the matter to the ethics committee where the issue was handled amicably, and henceforth I ceased to be the target of all the embarrassment I initially received at the workplace.
