Introduction
People have a different opinion about education beyond high school diploma which is colleges and universities, is it worth the cost? Many people go to college with the perspective of receiving a piece of paper giving validation that they have been burning their midnight oil, working extremely hard and sleepless night studying and academia induced trauma. Real question arouses to ask if the college education worth it at the of the day? This kind of topics has evolved for a long time enough to evaluates that college education matter. Though it usually finds out that at times it is worthless.
It's clear that the economic factor brings considered can affect the wellbeing can affect student aspiration to study in any college in the world. Even though conserving the economy is one of the most important things everyone should understand. Studying in a college can be considered as an investment that will eventually pay off. hence there is always a long-term benefit that results from learning. (William, p.17) A census done in the U.S showed that an average of people who earn over 30,000 dollars a year is high school graduate. From the census, it was clear that anyone who had attained a bachelor's degree course made an earning average of over $50,000 every year. It was clear from the census that the more learned the high your salary could be. The census also showed that professional degree holder earned an average of over $100,000 a year. Hence college education has good long-term benefits which can result in more profit in the future. From the statistics carried out about 2.5% of all the people who graduated from her education learning had a higher chance of getting a job.
The college education can be described as the place to bring up once student social life and help you develop yourself. (William, p.16) Through learning from a college or a higher institutional learning can lead to an increment in professionalism in job and mobility that can enhance the standard of living to your offspring's. through college education on gets a chance to interact more which would likely equip the person with diverse knowledge on other individual based on their backgrounds.
Even though there has been the argument that there is the oversupply of university and college student based on some analysis carried out by people who did jobs that did not require any bachelor's degree example were taxi drivers and janitors. (William, p.16) What they failed to understand and consider in their argument was that during the economic downturn. People who have a higher probability of securing job were people who had a bachelor's degree. This is because these people have management skills which can be detailed in that position. Even though jobs that bachelor's degree is not necessary for its import to consider that people with the degree earn more than those who don't have.
Sometimes any kind of benefit comes with a cost. Attaining college education come with the most significant cost which is debt. (William, p.16) The government offers college student loans because the cost of living in college is expensive and most student cannot afford it. Unless the student has been fully sponsored, it every day for the typical student to seek a loan to pay for their college education tuition fee. For instance, the report in "Wall street journal" indicates that a student enrolled in colleges continue to rise although the cost of student living in colleges increases.
Another threatening factor is unemployment. Although chances of securing a job just after graduating from college higher than high school dropout, research show that, only around of five percent of graduates get employed. (William, p.16) It is reported that graduate from college was prone to long-term unemployment period than high school dropout once they get unemployed. Most of the college graduates under the age of twenty-five could only get part-time jobs. many employees in companies and organizations would rather employ a person with experience over a degree. They base on the fact on the person or employee ability to have experience and work skills that any college graduates usually lack. The college education does not guarantee you a well-paying job after graduating.
A college student is delayed getting into the real world by the involving continuous studies, therefore, they lack the appropriate involvement of the world. (William, p.16) Studying in college means dedicating your time on the studies to particular career study thus shifting off attention to chances of working, getting training, and learning skills. therefore, college studies help the student to get the civic education rather than career pathway as most usually thought.
Conclusion
In conclusion, liberal art from a college or a higher institution of learning provides one with flexibility skills that help them change the global economy. Cross-cultural skill and all professional skills are well developed in the liberal art. These skills are well associated with entrepreneurship and management skills. Even though many businesses try to develop many technical skills the skill learning are more likely to be outsourced.
