Introduction
Terrorism is usually aimed to cause violence and destruction in a given place. Most terrorist acts are focused on causing widespread fear and on acquiring acknowledgment either locally or globally among other goals. The media is sometimes criticized for contributing to increased acts of terrorism. The media can be involved in promoting various activities in society among them being good while others are evil. The media covers terrorism actions making the terrorist leaders to become celebrities. Moreover, terrorists use the media to spread their information including videos and manifestos. The media can be blamed for the spread of such messages since they do not restrict the kind of content that is uploaded. Some terrorist gangs use the media to solicit for funds and acquire recruits in addition to spreading their propaganda. Other terrorists such as Anwar used the media to inspire more terrorist attacks (Boot 2019). Generally, the media is extensively used to promote terrorism.
How Terrorists Use Laws to their Advantage
Terrorists are known to take advantage of the laws to advance their attacks. In Libya, for instance, terrorists take advantage of the administrative unsteadiness and the inability of the government to access certain parts of the country to carry out their attacks. The lack of an all-inclusive counterterrorism act gives terrorism room to blossom. The lack of adequately strategized laws to combat terrorism makes a state prone to terrorist attacks (United States Department of State 2018). Most terrorist gangs and sometimes state armies adopt the disproportionate combat where they use eccentric stratagems and maneuvers espoused by potency once the martial competences of cantankerous authorities are not merely uneven, however, are very importantly dissimilar that they cannot create equivalent types of bouts towards one another. An example of asymmetrical warfare is Guerrilla warfare and some tactics by terrorists that involve hijacking people and suicide bombs (Sexton 2019).
Force Multiplier
Terrorists enjoy having force multipliers since they enable them to achieve their goals faster and easier. Force multipliers are the facets or a combination of them that enable greater accomplishment than when they are absent. Some of the force multipliers that terrorists and military utilize are technology, transnational support, media and religion (Gadek 2010). In the event that terrorists enjoy such force multipliers then they help them grow and make their attacks successful.
