The cinematographic technique directed by Michael Bay help in portraying that the Pearl Harbor attack which was majorly aimed at gaining the American support for the involvement in WWII. The Pearl Harbor film is successful more so in depicting the attack event in such a way that textbooks could not. It's also an indicator that the pearl harbor was the main thing the united states of America needed to join the WWII since the American had the mentality that WWII was Europe's problem and their main problem alone hence they had no business joining the war.

Roosevelt is a significant cinematographic technique aiding in conveying that Pearl Harbor was a breakthrough that the United States needed to enter World War II specifically.

During a scene in the movie, President Roosevelt addresses his cabinet ministers, and he goes ahead to ask "I'm going to inquire from you what the Allies are demanding to know from me, how long will it be until united state involvement in the war?". One of the cabinet ministers responded by stating that "we simply don't have a genuine reason for war, and the Americans don't see it as our problem" thus, President Franklin Roosevelt question to the minister indicates that everyone was eagerly waiting for the United States joining the World War II. On the other hand, A given response from the cabinet member was appropriate since in case the U.S decided to get themselves involved in the war without the sole support of her people then that would be described as a political suicide on the side of president Franklin Roosevelt career.

During the movie a Japanese by the name Admiral Yamamoto said that the war was their only way of saving their country, this was put in a film to imply that Japan was in between the sword and the wall. Also, a Japanese soldier was mainly motivated to bring honor to their families by merely doing what the country had asked them. Hence, it's evident that the Japanese being not savage as well as cold-hearted, they were trying so much to save their country and honoring to their families.

Moreover, the aftermath of the pearl harbor attack was well portrayed by the movie, the individuals who were trapped and drowned in the vessel lived and worked on, the sunken ships, the destroyed fields as well as the dead lying and floating everywhere. The aftermath portrayed in the film enables us to understand how the scene was filled with sadness, panic, death and also grief that day was to the American community. During and the aftermath of the attack and the activities which took place, the causes of WWII and the achievement of the pearl harbor movie ( 2001) to the community.
