Introduction
The social class of any individual or family as an impact on family life, education, health, amongst other factors. Social grade is a stratified hierarchy based on wealth, knowledge, and other social networks. The fundamental paradox of human nature is human beings using their brainpower, inventiveness, and innovativeness and the skill to work together. With similar objectives to mend life radically through technology, education, health, and other structures of human evolution but still end up having miscellanies, maltreating other partners and being deceitful.
Racism
Partiality and intuition are as a result of personal feelings and taste. These are the main grounds of divisions in large groups of people. These divisions are on the rise due to egocentric conviction where some people think that they are always right and other people should be like them. Racial segregation is among the causes of these social divisions; some races feel to be superior to others. The hegemony of these races has widened the gap of working into large groups since racist don't want to associate themselves with other races. They need to be in groups of people from their race only (Leary, 2007).
Poverty
Poverty is defined as a condition where one is not able to access material things or wealth. It can be relative poverty where an individual is economically disadvantaged compared to the wealthier members. Or it can be absolute poverty families or individuals have a low income that cannot cater to their basic needs like food, shelter, and clothes. In most countries, poverty is determined using the poverty line.
Poverty is one of the biggest challenges when working in groups. Majority of those who have accumulated wealth find it difficult working with the poor. Some have a notion that associating with the poor can deplete your resources, or the poor can be so dependent on our wealth. Other think it by choice some people to be weak and believe that the poor are lazy so they cannot have any connotation since the poor have nothing to offer. Some also see the poor as a bad omen or like people who have a curse.
All these perceptions hinder the relationship and working together of these two different classes of people. On the other hand, those below the poverty line in most cases feels inferior when working in groups of the rich. The barrier created by poverty between the wealthy and the poor as a negative effect on the economy and the individual too these barriers deny individuals social mobility, which is an opportunity for one to improve his or her standards of living (Le Grand, 2018).
Working in groups can help one to grow financially since you will feel motivated and will toil smarter to also achieve as your fellow members. But the gap of poverty denies individuals that chance. If there are higher chances of social mobility, an individual's economic eminence could be elevated to other positions because all will be working for a common goal with equal opportunities. Access to resources and social amenities such as higher education, quality health care, and well-paying jobs will create the same openings to all.
Government
The system does not work correctly to protect the poor, and instead, the powerful and the rich always benefit at the cost of the poor. Stratification is a malfunction and very detrimental in any society. The rich are continually building on their wealth and keep on getting more opportunities to develop themselves by ascending the hierarchy. This system continues to widen the gap between the high class and the low-class individuals. To some extent, poverty has led to social exclusion where a group or an individual is denied opportunities that are granted to other individuals.
Women Rights and Gender Biasness
Another concern is a feminization of poverty where women are misrepresented in the share of opportunities. The feminization of poverty is led by lack of income, and women denied an equal chance like their counterpart male due to gender biasness and fixed gender roles in some societies. These gender insights in some communities have led women to denial of opportunities to pursue education or take some careers. The incidence of perception that women should only participate in household chores is a factor that is still causing an increase in poverty in societies.
Poor women have limited access to health care services; this has affected women productivity and propagated much on household poverty. These poor women are unable to join and work in groups with others due to this ordeal of poverty. Both formal and informal employment is limited to women worldwide, with most women employed in the informal sector. The casual workplaces as reduced their regulation and make it more difficult for the women to address their grievances. That can ensure job security and safe working conditions.
Personal Problems
People struggle with different personal problems like stress, depression, self-doubt, addiction, and other life worries. These personal problems have affected their relationship with other groups of people. Human beings cause most of these problems, and at most times, the feeling of self-doubt or unworthiness may cause individuals not feeling to mingle and be in groups with others. Stress and depression can make a person feel irritated and self-denial, at most of the time he or she wants to spend most of his time alone.
