Introduction
The history of America between the 1960s to 1975 was a period of magic trials. The time also incorporated aspects of trying to live according to the most current technologies. Besides, American history was also centered on issues of wars and finding solutions to the economic and boundary seeking conflicts. Much was associated with both economic, social, political and psychological matters. Even though the technology seems to have been a challenge as compared to the current technology in the world, it is clear that it was a period of an economic change concerning technological advancement. It is evident that the 1960s was a period whereby Americans focused on learning and applying new ideas concerning economic development technological improvements and social behavior. Social behavior change was associated with establishing new relationships that could enhance an American dream.
Gaps in the Cause of America’s Social Change
There are gaps in the cause of America's social change and the factors that brought up the need to incorporate psychology in both education and criminal justice systems. The study of psychology was considered to be a manipulation of things and human behavior rather than the study of human behavior as outlined by the emerging psychologist of the time. In that perspective, the 1960s was associated with little knowledge since most people consider psychology to be a manipulation of human behavior and concepts relating to behavioral change. According to the film Lords of Revolution, graduate schools were affected by the idea of psychology and the best way to teach psychology among students. At first, most psychologists of the time were considered to be individuals who were training their concepts and were taken to be individuals who are suffering from mental problems due to the challenges the head first in their life. For instance, Timothy Leary's wife had passed away, and later he moved to another town to start a new life and to teach psychology in the university (Fein 5:37). Such a social change made people think that the concept of psychology was misguided by the thoughts of people who had already been victims of mental torture.
There were guerrilla theatre and yippie tactics that were established before the Democratic national convention that was in Chicago by 1968. According to the video by Abbie Hoffman on Yippie Tactics, 1968, the American nation was still evolving concerning the social stratification and social behavior among people from different communities. Besides social behavior and character will steal unrefined since most people used to do practices that cannot be done in the current society like having sex anyhow. The quest for new America was every man's dream, and people were trying to evolve according to the aspect of the American dream.
According to Spookynorman (5:36-5:45), social behavior was screwed by 1968, but it has been changing positively since currently, most Americans behave in the best manner ever. According to the movie, there were several issues relating to social behavior in public that cannot be done today since society has dramatically changed. Therefore, the period between the 1960s to 1975 was a time that Americans realized the need to establish a social change and to focus on promoting the American dream. The American dream was created to enable Americans to behave better and to avoid social misbehaviors that affected the progress of industrialization. Social change was a problem during the 1960s to 1975, but later Americans realize the need to establish a social behavior change towards cultural affiliations and social awareness.
On the other hand, the gaps associated with social change was evident to be a problem in the American nation during the 1960s to 1975 (Magic Trip Trailer n. p.). Lavatory experience was also a challenge to most people. Besides, technological changes were also a challenge concerning the energy plants that were supposed to be built. An aspect of allowing people to see the truth of who they are was also challenged by what people anticipated to hear from most of the professors (Magic Trip Trailer n. p.). Misguided thoughts were brought up by most of the Harvard professors when they try to teach new concepts like psychology without ascertaining the fact that it was a genuine concept in society.
Gay Rights
In the 1960s, the concept of gay rights became common and perhaps the most significant issue in American history. There were Stonewall riots that took place on 28 June 1969 on the subject of gay rights and gay history in New York City. The improbable unveiling was common and evident in the American history on the issue of gay Rights which later led to an urban riot that sparked various reactions from people including leading to discomfort in some people. The quest to transform life into the American social structure was brought up by multiple issues that contained cultural perspectives during the period (Matespitfire 7:11). In the 1970s, a remarkable period for the transformation of the problems relating to gay rights and lesbians and particularly those people that were living in the coastal cities in America were evident. Visibility was the primary purpose for transformation during the years since there was the first gay television movie that portrayed as sexy on-screen kissing between two men in the film In Sunday, Bloody Sunday. The movie was released and considered to be the first movie to officiate homosexuals in public most probably in the green witch village. On the other hand, in December 1973, it was discovered that the board of American psychiatric association ended up with a vote of 13-0 to remove homosexuality from the list of mental disorders hence such a move officiated homosexuality. Therefore, 1973 was the year that homosexuality was meant to be seen as a standard issue when the American psychiatric association decided to remove homosexuality from the list of disorders associated with psychiatry.
However, the move to officiate homosexuality seems to have been started long ago. According to the time from the 1970s 1973, it is not justifiable to claim that the society had existed to accept homosexuality into the American social system. In that manner, American social system seems to have been subjected to issues relating to homosexuality long ago before it was officiated by the vote count of American psychiatric association to remove our sexuality from the list of mental disorders. Incorporation of homosexuality movies in television series nailed the concept of legalizing homosexuality in one way or another by allowing the American psychiatric association to count out homosexuality to be one of the psychotic disorders affecting Americans.
Vietnam War
According to Dr. Leary USA, the period of 1976 was associated with a movement against China peninsula and to reoccupy Vietnam was associated with the particular economic system and social system as an approach to remember the aspect considered by many people in Vietnam as George Washington of the country outlined (Fein 6:31). According to the Vietnam war footage, American history was associated with the lack of proper control of the political analyze who lighter lead to conflicts with other nations like Vietnam. Indeed, the 1960s was a period that Americans tried to establish and assert new learning approaches towards new ideas how to develop new relationships for themselves and to change the American society according to the perceived culture and American dream. In that perspective, the American nation focused on establishing a better relationship with other countries and because it needed to protect its territories from close allies and Vietnam. The trial was also a challenge according to the New York times of Vietnam in the year 1962 to 1968 (Magic Trip Trailer n. p.). Vietnamese was subjected to justifiable conflicts from the United States of America due to their quest to fight the nation. National lead to a progressive society that focused on establishing a better generation. Warfare was the order of the day during the 1960s 1975 between America and Vietnam. The war in Vietnam was Italians to the social system and the achievement of the American dream.
Several specific questions need to be articulated concerning the issues that took place between 1960 to 1975 in the United States and other nations that were associated with the political ideologies champion by most of the American. The questions that are still unanswered related to the start of the Vietnam war.
- What was the primary cause of the Vietnam war?
- What affirms that the Vietnam war ended of establishing better relations between the United States and other nations?
- What could be the most efficient way to handle the technicalities of social behavior that led to the Vietnam war?
- What was the most causative factor concerning political culture that contributed to multiples in the United States during the 1960s to 1970s?
- What are the factors that lead to social and behavioral changes especially the factors that influence to the legalization of homosexuality through the vault by American psychiatric association?
- What factors contributed to the social transformation and behavior among people who made homosexuality to be evident in the United States. Do the videos portray all issues that took place in the United States during the 1960s to 1970s about the political temperatures of that time?
The measures that could be taken to prevent the aftermath of the Vietnam war and other conflicts that were associated with the United States were unfounded during the time. The stipulated questions are still unanswered concerning factors that contributed to the change in social systems, political culture, cultural change, neocolonialism, and economic challenges.
