The E-tech tech project of using HoloLens technology integrated into the Holographic type of computer running in Windows operating system will be essential in ensuring that the Department of Defense successfully trains medics for its field operations. The technology is used based on a three step process which at first conducts a quick survey of a field case scenario, instantly mapping it out and then using 3 D tech model blends it in a real life situation to generate an actual response. The medics indicated include those in real life battle and field operations. The control procedures are coordinated using voice and gesture-based commands to produce a more interactive communication system. The E-tech project will offer a step-by-step guide for action to generate an appropriate training aid.
The E-tech project provides invaluable client value through its actualization during application in its great importance to assist in saving lives in real life scenarios as a medical triage in times of war or training (Bennett et al.). Also, civilian authorities will potentially benefit in response to disasters and life-saving drills. The project significantly increases lifesaving tactics in the aspects of readiness to respond quickly and increases success rates. It also offers a practical lesson for the administration of first aid in traumatic situations (Charara).
This project is an IT investment for the application of IT to enhance medical training for medics in battle operations or civilian disaster response agencies. The concept of using HoloLens in the program cost effectively helps to lower the training cost invested in trauma response procedures and also minimize live animals causalities used in practice drills.
With the HoloLens as an alternative, the number of live animals and cadavers needed for training will be significantly lower (Youngblood). Additionally, lives become saved through better preparation and training of the medics. The application of the HoloLens in the DoD for this purpose would require the development of a Windows 10 application for medic training. Specifically, an application that provides the user with triage scenarios along with human anatomy education. On a technical perspective, the E-tech project is the future of medics training that transform it to be better and efficient (Martinic).
