Employees can work under various diverse conditions that may stimulate values and norms turn out to be strong, leading the employees to develop ethically unaccepted character. In this case, terminal value of an organization is significant to the working of the employees within the organization. There is the need for an organization to develop some creativity in coming up with the incentives that will always keep the employees happy while working as well as guiding them either informally or formally to prevent behaviors that are unethical and can bring harm to the organization.The organization with no incentive face the risk of having its employees have the unethical attitude towards its members within together with the people from the external environment of an organization. Taking an example of an employee who realizes that the organization that he is working for is no longer devoted to his future, then additionally, he develops a perception that he is underpaid, this will possibly make him develop unethical behavior to the organization like stealing in order to meet and enhance his financial needs with regards to his personal ethics. Furthermore, a harsh working environment may guide the employees in developing unethical behavior because of his dissatisfaction while working. Employees who feel that the organization that they are working for is committed to them will possibly be less likely to behave unethically since they are aware that their actions will absolutely ruin their future.
In my understanding regarding the topic, the main condition that promotes the employees to have unethical behavior is learning from their fellow workers. For instance, an employee can rebuild an unsecured procedure that he previously observed from his colleague, if he realizes that the colleague getting reinforcement for his performance rather than discipline or if he observes the workers conduct will remove some of the steps in carrying out his tasks. Learned behaviors from the co-workers as well as the organization failure to offer firm ethical cause are considered to be having the most probable to give unethical behavior in the organization.
The difference in the national culture may prompt behavior that is unethical in the universal organization since certain cultures take absolutely different norms. Given that, the organization that is located in the country A could possibly outsource to the other organization operating in the country B. Taking for example that the establishment that is operational in country B is guided by the key objectives of achieving the lucrative profit throughout the performance through subjecting the employees to work for 70 hours per week, then organization in country B is involved with the development emphasis. There will be a conflict between the two countries since the organization that operates in country B identifies that, in country A, the organization is failing to deliver an ethically accepted working environment for the employees.
