It is his enthusiasm and obsession with playing guitar that makes him a valuable member of the local music band known as "My Own Confusion." It is one of the most prosperous music bands in town, a feat attributed to the devotion of its members in what they do best, that is, music. I have always been passionate about the band and had developed a desire to know the secret behind its success. Joining a music band at the tender age only means one thing, one is likely to develop skills and experience with time. Although Micah is not a major guitarist of the band, his skills at playing guitar are undeniable. Micah attributes this a to lifelong experience. Given that he is still a student, his involvement in the band is not as frequent as other members. This implies that he often skips training when he is busy at school, which is why he is not the one of the major guitarists in the band, unlike his friend Jordon who plays in My Own Confusion most of the time. Were it not for school, Micah would be playing in the band full-time too.

"Everybody would love to join the band, even the unborn children want to join the band." This was Micah's reply when I asked his reasons for joining My Own Confusion. As a child, he would watch and listen to a Japanese band where his father was a Taiko drummer. As his father drummed, Micah would play guitar, a good example of the phrase "like father, like son." Micah describes the experience as teamwork, but I view from a different perspective. Considering that his father used to be a drummer, it is true to say that this, in one way or another, had an influence in Micahs obsession with guitar playing. It is interesting that Micah not only knows how to play guitar but other instruments as well. He describes his ability as an effort from a long time of practice and experience.

When asked, what being a guitarist reveals for him, Micah responds by stating that the instrument shows more about his passion for music than anything else. Passion is the primary factor that drives him to the heights of his dreams. For one to be a good guitarist, they to employ a lot of practice and develop a passion for the art of guitar playing. Similarly, it is likely that the other band members exhibit the same driving force as Micah. Micah is passionate about what he does, so are the other band members. Micah is not the kind that is interested in fame or fortune. His love for music comes from the heart, a true musical spirit.

Apart from being a guitarist, Micah also performs other roles in the band. Sometimes, he sings but rarely. It is an indication of collective responsibility. I do not know the reason why he sometimes sings, but I imagine he does that when there is an absent colleague or just for fun. Either reason, his character still display a true musical spirit. He is always ready to fill any gap for the sake of the band. It is no doubt that the others also do the same. Unlike other bands, My Own Confusion members are ready to play other roles if need be. The members have a sense of responsibility, and this is what keeps the band going and prospering. I am fascinated by the team spirit embraced by the band, no wonder they are the best in town.

It is surprising that Micah is even underway developing a music editing software for the band. The software will be used to edit My Own Confusions music to produce quality sounds. When the idea becomes a reality, it will not only elevate the standards of the band but will also ensure quality music from the band. Their reputation in the region is likely to strengthen once Micah has developed the project. Micah is a representation of the dedication and commitment the members have for the My Own Confusion. They are ready to offer their best for the prosperity of the band. No doubt the band has existed for a long time.

The primary objective of the band is to entertain the local fans. Micah states this as the main reason for the band's success in the competitive entertainment industry. "We are committed to our efforts to entertain," Micah states. The band puts the interest of the firm as its top priority. They know that to attract a larger audience in this small community, they have to be creative and compose quality songs. Otherwise, they risk getting toppled from their position. Creativity does not only assist the band to generate more massive following but also to earn respect from their fans. Micah explains that although most of the band members are employed, they still find time to turn up for training. The members usually practice in the evenings for at least two hours, but they sometimes they can extend depending on their commitment. The team dedicates itself in delivering the best thus takes training seriously, and this is what makes them the best. The band is not free from challenges though, but despite the challenges, it is still strong as ever. It experiences difficulty in raising funds to finance its activities. "Our major challenge has been the lack of adequate funds to purchase the equipment we use," Micah responds. To keep the band functioning, the band members contribute their earnings. They also get donations from well-wishers. They also receive money when they are called upon to perform at various ceremonies and functions. The band members mostly play music as a hobby and not for profit making purposes. Thus, financial problems are not a major issue.

My Own Confusion is one of the best and electrifying bands in Fremont. It has been functioning since Micah was born and it is still growing stronger and stronger.
