The issue of abortion is still debatable by which not all people support the idea. Most people base their arguments on faith, beliefs, and principles in regards to respecting life. From a personal perspective, the decision on abortion is a personal choice and hence deserves respect. Therefore, when the client approaches me with the issue, I find appropriate not to judge but rather try to understand and empathize with their situation. I would work with the client on possible alternative solutions if necessary but of the client insists on having an abortion, it is important to respect her decision. However, if the decision is out of controllable factors such as pressure from partner, parents or the social environment, I would recommend if she underwent counseling before taking action. Such a step shows care and value for the client such that trust develops between us enabling cooperation. Nonetheless, because of my value of life, the focus will be on trying to convince the client to keep the baby if at all her health or the babys health was not in danger.

The diversity issue is inevitable when it comes to the interaction between patients and the medical practitioners. From a personal perspective, it is important to understand the culture of a patient for the purpose of eliminating any cultural barriers that may interfere with the interaction. The areas that are bound to be affected by the culture in regards to parenting skills and caretaking of the infant include medication, breastfeeding, in addition to the gender of the medical practitioner providing assistance. For example, in regards to medication, some people may use traditional forms of care before giving birth and medicine on their children as an alternative to western medication which might be an issue when it comes to the health of a baby. By understanding such an aspect, it becomes easier to explain to the client the importance of using modern medicine despite the provisions of her culture.

Attachment takes place when an emotional bond develops between an infant and the caregiver such that the emotional progress and behavior of a child is affected even when he or she becomes an adult. The view that the expression of attachment behavior varies in different cultures is true with the fact that teaches culture has its own method of rearing children. Some parents or caregivers, especially in the Western world, tend to be affectionate to their children when compared to parents in the Asian countries who are authoritative such that the children mostly obey commands rather than having an affectionate relationship with their parents. Trauma, for example, trauma caused by divorce, may impact the attachment between a child and his or her parents. Divorce tends to weaken the bond between parents and children especially if one of the parents is accused of being on the wrong (for example being an alcoholic or a drug addict) by which a child may develop hatred towards a parent. From a personal viewpoint, the context of conception might influence the attachment process mostly through biological factors. For example, if an infant exhibits temperament, the attachment process may be affected especially if the temperament is not understood. The possible solution is having a caregiver who is caring such that he or she is able to soothe the baby whenever any episode occurs.
