Art is present in our day to day lives. DAA claims that art is present in the community and schools and this has helped in creating a creative citizenry. Besides, First Lady Markell gives examples of how art is present in peoples daily lives and provides examples of going to the garden and taking some classes at Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. Posters, banners, cartoons, controversial works on the internet and in the magazines are other examples of works of art that we face in our day to day lives. These works do not just use mere language to pass information. They employ creativity and this act as the central role of art.

I have experienced the central role of art in my life. Just like literature, Art cannot be separated from creativity. It has its inner and outward meaning; the same applies to art. Art also entails things like music and description of pictures. Art focuses on creativity and imagination. At times when I see portraits of the famous artists, I do not see them as mere pictures. Art depicts the truth and acts like a photograph that has millions of words. I have experienced the role of art in my life where I have come across these portraits and someone demands for an interpretation of the portrait. That is where an individual employs creativity on the description of the work. For example, in one instance, when I was with a friend of mine watching a movie in a theater, we saw a painting the wall inside the theater. My friend was very curious, and he was asking me questions like what can you see in the picture. At such times when one has confronted it those questions, he or she is supposed to be creative to describe all the elements of the portrait. Therefore, during such instances, I can say that I have experienced the central role of art in my life.

The other role of art is to express uniqueness. I have experienced this role by composing unique poems and songs. As for me, this activity represents my individuality or uniqueness because I have to use my words and combine them to form sentences which further bring a hidden meaning. Art also plays the role of expression of feelings. The feelings are expressed through music and poem. Music is usually seen to be one of the ways in which the artists express their feelings towards particular things. I love music, and I use it to express my attitude and feelings towards things. For instance, I love singing whenever I am depressed, and this helps me get away my sorrows.

In summary, the central role of art is to express creativity, individuality and also express one's feelings. Art has made much difference in my life because it has allowed me use my creativity and do things that I have fond doing. Thus, just like art contributed to the economy of the community, Art has helped me generate income.
