Listening to the concerns of the employees during decision-making forums helps them to feel valued and appreciated. There are various ways that a manager can use to make the employees creative, some include rewarding. Rewarding makes the employees creative in their work. Creativity leads to innovation which results in better performance of the organization thus earning it a good reputation.
Benefits of Involving Employees in Decision Making
The employees have crucial information of all the happenings in an organization. As a result, they know what happens and could provide the most suitable solution to problems. The manager has to consider the employees in making decisions since they are an essential cog to the success of an organization. Employees know the challenges that they face in the course of their work which a manager can overlook and eventual tend to affect the performance of the entire organization. They know the technology and skills that need to be incorporated for an organization to be at an edge to their competitors.
Employees should be provided with proper channels for providing feedback to the management of an organization. The manager who is the link between the employees and the administration should ensure that the demands and suggestions reach the intended sectors of management. It is not possible for the command to know the effectiveness of a policy if they fail to get feedback from the employees. A good rapport between the manager and the employees should always be there so that there is no barrier to the flow of information.
If the employees of an organization are well taken care of, they will, in turn, relate well with the clients thus leading to a better performance of the organization. The opposite is also applicable if they are not listened to; their views and suggestions ignored them their relation with the clients will deteriorate too. Creativity is what makes an organization stand the test of time. It ensures that the products of the organization do not become absolute and can adapt to the changes that happen with time.
