Based on genes a child inherits, and this determines other factors in the environment including culture the child development in various aspects. These points stood out because the readings brought relevance to most of the things I have observed as a student regarding development and rearing of young children. It also made me understand certain social aspects such as temperament and how the environment around us can influence these socials skills. Being a student also it also made know about parenting and the development of a child wholly and how this can be achieved, as it is possible for me to be a parent in future also.
The themes in this chapter are very relevant in my current life and future. Currently, as a person, I have family members who are parents and this information is important so much that I can use it or pass it to them so that they can make good parents who shall rear children who have developed in all aspects. This chapter further has information regarding researched data and how parenting this has influenced the lives of children. Given that a large number of parents employed, it is important to understand that they also have to check on their kids to avoid being constantly attached. The people I know leave most of the children to the nanny and as such are not that attached to the children. Knowledge from this information is necessary for me to be able to guide young parents the importance of having good parenting practices.
This experience in future can help me in guiding young parents on how they can effectively give children the best caregiver services that can improve the development of children. From this, the society will learn to excellent parenting skills and what role they can play in ensuring that they provide the quality environment necessary for the improvement of their lives.
