Introduction

The water in natural sources like rivers and lakes differs in the percentage of specific components that are found in the water. Some of the mineral sediments that may be found in one water body may vary from those found in other areas. Due to the alterations that occur in the environment, some of the chemical sediments may be introduced to rivers or other water bodies by industries or other processes that lead to the general deposition of the chemicals into the water. This paper is a report on the sampling in several outlined areas describing the expectations and the actual results that are obtained after carrying out field research on the regions.

The first sampling ground was camp pine woods in Illinois. It is a natural setting based inside a forest, and it is hardly exposed to a lot of pollution. The site is known as a famous camping ground, and many people book rooms in it. The location was selected due to its setting in a forest and the chance that the site was not close to any causes of pollution such as industries or exposed to sewerage facilities that exist in many cities. Basing n the pictures taken, the little site exposure of the water to rocks. The area around the water surface has little or no stones meaning that it is likely minimal reaction of the rainwater with the minerals contained in the rocks. As water comes down as rainwater, it reacts with carbon dioxide making it slightly acidic. When the water meets rocks as it flows in streams and rivers, it reacts with chemical compounds such as sodium producing some salts. It is therefore expected that the water will contain little sediments in it.

The second sampling ground is the Indian Boundary Golf Course located in Chicago. Basin on the pictures provided for the site, there are rocks in the section of sampling. The location of the site is also in a city where there are high chances of pollution. The place is likely to have sedimets from industrial minerals, chemicals from the golf course, effluents from the town sewerage facilities all which may contribute to the general increase in chemical sediments in the samples obtained from the area. As seen in the picture, the site is placed in a building that appears to be industrial which makes it more prone to pollution.

The third sampling ground is the campground road woods. The site is located near a road as described by the location coordinates. Basing on the picture portrayed, there is an expected amount of pollution due to the waste fumes of vehicles. Regarding this factor, it is possible that the site will have a higher concentration of chemical sediments. The maps of the sampling area show some rocks in the Satelite pictures of the area which further increases the chance of the minerals sediments such as sodium being present in it. The area was chosen due to its proximity to the road as it offered a sample of the expected concentration of sediments due to pollution.
