With the new innovative application services such as telecom PABX, IVR, the fire alarm in Fiji, Datec has not yet reached its target of obtaining the largest market share in Fiji (Datec, 2017). The companys future strategy to reach its target includes partnering with giant business corporations such as LEXMARK, Panasonic, IBM and Microsoft (Datec, 2017). Datec Fiji company focuses on customers response and feelings towards their products and services (Nataro, 2017). Competition is one of the threats in the market that can affect the performance and operations of a business (Nataro, 2017). Research indicates that majority of companies that are unable to deal with the competition in the market are unable to continue with their operations because their rival competitors take advantage of their weakness in the market. Despite being the largest ICT Company in Fiji, Datec has not been able to overcome the market challenges associated with competition.
